All good points above, and all valid. Truth is, Suffolk's full of Town's faithfull. There are are countless loyal old sods who will never go to a game, lamenting the cost and the modern gamesmanship or whatever they call it. And there are thousands of lads (like my sons) who really do have blue blood, but live on Fifa virtual fanciness and Premiership glory. The crowd awakens the team sometimes. If the team is now awakening the crowd then so be it. I've not had a season ticket since I had too many sons to afford one anymore, but God knows, it has become a pleasure again to watch football at Portman Road; it really has been a long time. When I go, I do not want to come home with any voice left and lately I dont. I'm happy to be part of the resurgent wave. |

Taking Harry's advice, I had a look at Charlton's fans forum after the game. If you want a fair appraisal of how we did, have a gander. Lots of praise for Town, acknowlegement of a game without a booking (despite an unseen 'headbutt' on Mings, which would have left them a man down) and Bob Peeter's comments described as 'p*ss and wind'. |

Wrong ^^. Murphy can and will add to the goal tally, which is generally the consensus for what we all want. He works hard, is dependable and like most of the squad has flourished under MM & TC. I would have been disappointed to see one of last season's positives be forgotten. |
