I know this was done after the Hull game but how good was Toto again today? Absolutely immense again. He was dreadful not so long ago but now looks absolutely fantastic. Not sure what has happened but fair play to the lad. He’s completely dominating at the moment.

More than double your money ... against Burton Albion ...
May have made a small investment. Am I an idiot?
The state of the club
at 07:18 30 Nov 2020
I have read much of what has been posted over the weekend but have been relatively inactive, gathering my thoughts. My views are below. I have tried to structure them but apologies if it appears a bit of a tirade ...
The club is steeped in a culture of mediocrity and failure. From the catering, the stewards, through the ticket office and to the playing staff there are no minimum standards of performance, there is no base requirement to take pride in your work and give of your best. The are no consequences for failing to do so. This has gradually developed over time and has reached the level where failure is not only accepted it is expected. The club has gone beyond stale, it is now slowly dying from within, poisoned by its rotten core.
The manager needs to leave, there is no doubt about that. This culture of incompetence is also prevalent at board level so, no doubt, they will take just about long enough to get on with what needs to be done to ensure that this season, like so many before it, is also a write off.
How can we change this? It won’t be easy. A new manager is a start but as we’ve seen may not be enough on its own ... it can’t be a coincidence that every manager we have fails, at some point one must look at the club. A complete culture overhaul is required, from the very bottom to the very top. Minimum standards must be imposed and if not achieved then changes must be made. Too many people at all levels have become too comfortable. Turning up, not doing much, seeing their mates and going home with their money. This family club must become more ruthless. It must demand performance not project an aura of failure to all those it crosses.
We need a bloody few years, it may be uncomfortable at times but London needed to burn in order for it to rise again.

Managed to have all 3 meals today on the Sunak specials. Total spend £11.89. What a hero. Arise Sir Rishi!

Really interested to hear people’s views on this. Article below. Basic question; Now we have some degree of confidence in a vaccine should we give it to healthy young people and then deliberately expose them to corona virus to speed up vaccine testing?
I say yes, and as a 33 year old with no underlying health conditions I would have no problem volunteering. What do people think?

I’ve got a couple of boozers booked for an all dayer tomorrow, really don’t know what to expect. We’ve booked into a couple of places just in case but really not sure what the general vibe will be ... will you be able to move to different pubs / bars etc or will they all be at capacity ... who knows!
Will it be good? Will it be rubbish? Will there be too many people? Will there not be many people? Maybe it’s the uncertainty that’s making it exciting ... either way I’m going to get trollied!
Hope you all enjoy it (safely) lads!

No disrespect to these clubs and they thoroughly deserve it but if we can't get in the play offs in a year that those stellar names manage it we are in more trouble than we thought ...

A passenger plane happens to crash over Iran around the same time a load of missiles are flying around in the region. Am I the only one who thinks the odds of these being unrelated events are pretty slim?!

Absolute joke. This guy gets paid for this sh1t. The FA are a joke, I bet they take no action. They like d1ck heads. They’ll probably promote him.

I sat in a different part of the ground tonight and yes we were poor but the amount of moaning shocked me. Not just the moaning but the glee in people’s voices as they were doing it. They were genuinely getting a kick out of it. How sh!t must your life be if you get your kicks slagging off your own side. The club needs to weed these ‘supporters’ out. They’re a cancer dragging us down. I’d rather have lower crowds and less parasites if I’m honest.

We're down. You know it, I know it, the players, manager and owner probably know it too. I would like to see our preparations for next year start right away. After the derby on Sunday we should only play players who have a realistic chance of being here next year. Start bedding them in now so they can hit the ground running next season. Let's face it, they can't do any worse!

Will Paul Hurst win a game as Ipswich manager
at 08:05 3 Oct 2018
Or will he be sacked first?
I originally thought this was just a bedding in period but we are so abjectly bad in front of both goals that I just can't see us winning a game . We played some reasonable football last night I thought but if you make defensive mistakes like that and your idea of incisive attacking football is punting in the general direction of a lone striker wins are not going to come anytime soon ...

Having sobered up and watched the highlights back I have a few observations:
Both sides looked pretty poor; however I believe we were marginally the better side. Not sure if we did enough to 'deserve' a win though. A draw was probably a fair result in all honesty.
This was the first game I had been to this season. My view on the new regime is that there is certainly potential there; however I have some concerns. I like Edwards a lot. He is a great signing and will cause defences a lot of problems. Pennington looks a class act and a fantastic (albeit temporary) addition. My worry is where the goals are coming from. Walters has never been prolific and I worry that Jackson and Harrison are not quite good enough at this level (hope I'm wrong). Replacing the goals of Waggy, Garner and McGoldrick was always going to be a big ask. Expecting a 36 year old who has never exactly banged them in and two unproven lower league signings to do it troubles me greatly.
I predict a long, hard season for both East Anglian clubs; however I think both will just about have enough to survive the difference being we are putting into place something to build on whereas they are just on a downward spiral.
Lastly, does anyone who's managed to read all of that know why the Norwich manager was wearing a coat? It was boiling!
Importance of Sunday
at 09:45 29 Aug 2018
The two play off games aside (obviously) this is the most important derby for some time. A victory over the sister botherers could be just the shot in the arm our season and the PH reign needs. If we were to turn the yellow filth over imagine the confidence boost it will bring to a group of players who, in the main, are new to this league. Conversely, if we were to lose, the rot may well and truly set in and a long season will be ahead of us.
I see it as fairly similar for them. If they turn us over they're off and running. If we beat them they will be on a downer as well and could be in for a long slog.
Alternatively, it could be two poor sides playing out a drab draw in an early season relegation dog fight ...

I assume we can pay on the gate Saturday?
Bart for Interim Manager
at 08:22 11 Apr 2018
I would put Bart in charge for the last few games as player manager. He's our best player by a mile, can see the game from his position in goal and we want him to stay so the show of faith might encourage him to sign a new contract. If he does well could make it a permanent arrangement.
