Agreed. When we went up under Burley we didn't add a ton of players and had an amazing season. I think only Hriedarsson and Makin cost us much money and Titus came out of nowhere. We then started going silly with signings and fell away. This season we've got nearly all of the same starting 11 as we did last year if you think Hirst was already here. |

Turning 35 in February, if he wanted to play it would very much likely be turning to the lower leagues where he is unlikely to learn anything to help his coaching aspirations. Even Col Utd may be a stretch and they could be once bitten twice shy having taken a load of our old boys over the last few years. If I was Sone I'd stay until the end of current contract at a place he's massively valued and seems to be lined up to stay on after playing days, as everyone else here has said. |

Great stats, once again highlighting the importance of Burns and Davis to the way we play. Most of the others are attacking midfielders, midfielders, or wingers. Incredible that you even see some negative comments on here about Burns and "can he step up to Championship level". Yes, it would certainly appear so. |
