 | Forum Thread | Whatever happened to the guy with the megaphone? at 14:35 28 May 2025
High chance this already has a well-known answer and I'm out of the loop. Was just randomly reminded of him. Does he still go to games? Why did he stop with the megaphone? |

Have they said who it'll be as I'm sure I remember reading it won't be Ed Sheeran again? |
 | Forum Thread | Hate to say it but that's on McK at 20:04 26 Feb 2025
Why on earth are we sitting back after going ahead? Completely killed the momentum we had and gave United a way back in. They were there for the taking... just why? So frustrating. |
 | Forum Reply | Phillips vs Morsy at 21:36 17 Jan 2025
I agree with you that Morsy should start over Phillips. You said that last night showed we miss Morsy when he doesn't play Which is baffling as he didn't play well last night and was directly responsible for one of the goals Hence the question as to whether you watched the game, because surely if you did you wouldn't have made that point |
 | Forum Reply | Phillips vs Morsy at 20:20 17 Jan 2025
You're using last night as the example? He came off the bench, gave away a needless foul and then refused to defend for the second goal, him and O'Shea standing there like two lemons. Clearly a very important player for us but you using last night as an example suggests you didn't watch the game |

I know it's one of the biggest derbies in world football but I struggle to get up for it when they play each other every two seconds. Boring! |

It is a bit ridiculous, just let the FA deal with it. If you're going to report that, you might as well report every foul that happens because if you slide tackled someone in the street it would be assault. |

Someone needs to dig up some dirt on that goalkeeping data company we used to sign him. They deserve to go bust for that alone. |
 | Forum Reply | Has McKenna got it wrong at 16:35 21 Dec 2024
I do think McK got it wrong by putting Szmodics up top. Not enough physicality and nonexistent out ball, leading to us being boxed in for much of the first half. Aware that his hands were tied by Delap suspension and Hirst injury, but think Ali would have been better from the start. Not that it would have changed the result. Newcastle too good for us today. |

If I demanded that you sent me every penny from your bank account, would you do it? My guess would be no |

Incredibly well made considering it was on a shoestring budget. I wasn't around in the 1980s. Can't imagine how frightened people must have been knowing it could have kicked off at any moment. |

Anyone seen it? Recently watched it for the first time and was left feeling utterly depressed. Probably the scariest film I have ever seen despite it being a docudrama rather than a horror. Absolutely brutal. I believe it's on iPlayer at the moment. |

We certainly didn't shade it for 85 minutes yesterday. They were all over us in the second half and it was only a matter of time until they scored. It's a shame it happened in the brutal way it did though. |
 | Forum Reply | KM massively fked that up. at 17:22 9 Dec 2024
As a relatively new poster I think the reaction to this has been a bit silly. This is a football forum, no? People are going to have different opinions on things and if others can't handle that, then maybe being on a football forum isn't in their best interests. [Post edited 9 Dec 2024 17:24]

It's much easier to simply call people 'moronic' rather than having a nuanced debate and doing some actual critical thinking. Maybe you're emotional, time for a lie down [Post edited 8 Dec 2024 19:07]

 | Forum Thread | Some post-match thoughts at 17:15 8 Dec 2024
I don't like digging out individuals but after today I've seen enough of Muric. Walton needs to come in for the next game against Wolves. He's made some brilliant saves but his mistakes are too often and too costly. How many points is he going to throw away between now and the end of the season? When does it end? I love the manager as much as anybody but I think his credentials are really being tested at this level. Many of the substitutions look like they're planned in advance and don't seem to make much sense given the context of games, and it's clear that at times the shape hasn't worked. Was it Einstein who said the definition of insanity was to do the same thing over and over again expecting different results? I thought he initially lacked a back-up plan when we were in League One but eventually he learned from it, he adapted and was rewarded with success. I have faith he will do the same again. It looks like he'll need to if we are serious about staying up. I guess the overriding feeling is that we're just not good enough for this league. It's not through a lack of effort, but we look out of our depth when the pressure is on. Players making silly mistakes. Those brief lapses in concentration, like for their second goal. Those occasional, weak passes which disrupt the entire move and gift the ball to the opposition. At lower levels, you can get away with it but the Premier League is a different beast. I hate to say it, but at times I think our mentality needs work. How many times have we thrown away a point (or three) in the closing minutes of games? Is that 'running towards adversity'? I still have faith we can turn a corner, with the January window coming up and the adaptability we know the manager has. But every game that we throw away, every crucial mistake, every mad moment, gives me the impression that we'll go down because we aren't good enough to win the required amount of points at this level.
