 | News Comment | Lambert: Until It's Mathematically Impossible You Never Give In at 20:37:28
Dear Mr Lambert, can you answer a couple of queries, firstly how could you possibly select a team like that in front of 23,000 fans, with one striker in a team of outfielders that have scored a staggering 5 goals between this championship season! dumb i would say. Secondly why would you not play two up front from the get go and if things are not going well by half time throw another one up there! what did you have to lose! it just beggars belief to me. |
 | News Comment | Nottingham Forest 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 02:40:34
Just viewed the highlights package as in NZ, we could easily have lost by five if they had there shooting boots on, and Bart looks like a golfer with the "yips" . Clean out at the back needed, just awful, Spence, Chambers, Knudsen, incompetent journey men! |
 | News Comment | Patterson Nets First International Goal at 21:15:58
Interesting that given an opportunity Monty Patterson makes his mark, playing 20 mins against minno's Mexico! and a full game against little old USA! only 22nd in the world, yet not good enough for even a bench spot for his club. Tells you a lot about who is running the club and his inability to play talented players over tired second rate freebees etc, just in case he might lose a couple of games. He will be gone soon in my opinion and he can take his outdated tactics and stupid 'Bonkers' comments with him! |
 | News Comment | McCarthy: We Don't Want to Sell Murph at 10:33:52
I have just heard that Jonny Williams is signing from Palace for 4 mill! from a Palace friend at NO4 bar in Merivale Ch-Ch NZ, my comment was 2 mil too much! |
 | News Comment | Pratley Still in Bolton Talks at 10:22:14
My question is what is his goal scoring average? we need good consistent goal scorers as well. as has proved to be our down fall in recent seasons. |
 | News Comment | Chambo: We're Only Going to Improve at 09:56:12
Have a look at Bournemouth, there midfield scored 44 goals according to a news report I read, we scored about 8 from midfield, I am not sure that there goals were in all comp, but we need goal scoring mid field players plus a good right back, a decent keeper, plus 2 decent wide men in my view. Tommy Smith is not good enough so we need better cover there too. Our strike force is very capable but good buying in the midfield dept is essential to go up!! |
 | News Comment | Berra Nets Winner for Scotland at 07:29:33
He is such a great pro really, understated but a quality player and I'm guessing a top bloke as well! I have to give MM credit that he does try to get good people in his team. |
 | News Comment | Leeds United 2-1 Town - Match Report at 03:33:59
The common thread appears to be that MM is stubborn to the core, plays players out of position, has favourites who can do no wrong, has no plan B, leaves attacking minded players on the bench or not included, recruits midfield players who cannot score goals. I wonder if the Wolves supporters were saying similar things about his style before he got the 'hump'. Any good Manager could see there was a need to recruit in Jan, but alas not our Mick!! I'm 12,000 miles away and it is as plain as the nose on his face!! |
 | News Comment | Town 0-1 Reading - Match Report at 08:12:04
I can't believe this result! I have had negative comments on my posts since this time last year, when I said who in the mid field will score any goals, I rest my particulars on that one! but nothing has changed, I respect MM but his selections have me baffled. We had a great opportunity to strenghten the team in Jan but didn't. He brings in Chaplow! goal scorer, year right! great to keep us up, but no forward vision for getting us to the EPL. At least my post criticising him referring to that stupid' Bonkers ' remarks has stopped! what a great relieve that is. He does look at this forum. |
 | News Comment | Rotherham 2-0 Town - Match Report at 22:12:12
I recently received a rather negative response when calling for the removal of McGoldrick as he is far to selfish and out of form, suggesting that Chris Wood or Billy Sharp were much better options. Those options are now gone but the way McGoldrick and several others are playing I cannot see where the goals will come from! Parr must start Smith benched, Bishop, Sears, Ambrose must start also. And if MM mentions the term 'Bonkers' again I will never read another one of his dreadful pre match interviews, is he still locked into the 1970's or what, his style of play kind of reflects that really. ME. time to start looking for a creative Manager with some guts to demand Transfer Funds. |
 | News Comment | Town 0-0 Wigan - Match Report at 08:58:16
I could not believe that result, waking up in NZ. The starting line up was just so wrong! Parr should have played, Smith on the bench, Sears had to start, McGoldrick to selfish and out of form, Who did they expect to score the goals, our mid field couldn't score if Wigan didn't have a goalkeeper! Why didn't they sign Woods or Sharp, same as last year when Burnley spent money in January to secure EPL status, all be it short lived. Will not be popular with my thoughts but we need to invest in two or three positions. |
 | News Comment | Murph Not the Only Striker to Get Better With Age at 07:48:32
After watching the goal snippets. you can see how much Daryl Murphy is worth to the team! works hard, creates chances for other players, he is a great pro! shame McGoldrick hasen't followed suit, very greedy IMO, his time might be up. Seears, Sharp, Wood will do for me thanks. A goal scoring mid field player is the next piece of the puzzle! them EPL here we come. |
 | News Comment | Town 0-1 Southampton - Match Report at 07:52:17
Unfortunately good Managers will now work us out, by that I mean, keep tight on Murphy and McGoldrick, stop the defenders at set pieces and what have we got left! how many goals are coming out off the middle of the park? we need a goal scoring midfield player, just like last season. No brainer IMOP. |
