It'll be a shame when they get rid of paper tickets, I've got them stuck round a door frame - they've all got memories attached to them. I've got paper tickets from 1990 onwards....it's funny looking back at the price of tickets back then! |

ha ha ha love it, i'll remember that as the 'come back'. Like when someone says "great minds think alike" and someone else responds with "yes, but fools minds never differ"! |

Always look forward to your posts - your subject matter is more interesting than TRAC or the HE sector which I'm usually looking at. Are you going to pull something special out at the end of season? Perhaps 3d bars poking up from the away grounds on a map of England on tableau...go onnnnn, you know you want to!! |
 | Forum Reply | Simple Question on Away Tickets at 19:02 29 Jan 2025
Really? I've always had to join a queue after 9:30, then at 10 you get randomly allocated a spot in the queue at which point your turn will come eventually. For away tickets you just keep clicking refresh in the minute before 10:00 and then it will let you straight in at 10:00, at which point you can select your ticket. That's the way it's always been for me - I've never joined any queue for an away ticket. Or have I got the wrong end of the stick and you're asking something different? Reckon there's still about 120 left at the moment. Good luck!! |

I appreciate that this might be a 'how long is a piece of string' question, so apologies in advance. I was slow on the travel to Man Utd away and it's sold out now, so I just wondered how often travel bookings are cancelled/returned? I only very recently started using the away travel so have no past experience to gauge whether to wait and see or book a train ticket. Thank you in advance! |

It's the same vibe people. Competitive football 'fanning' - when did this start, and would competitive football fans be better of taking up an actual sport to release their competitive energy, or would that require too much time away from a keyboard? |

Yessss, Johnson's control within inches of the touchline was impressive. I thought that in the ground at the time, but it's even more impressive on the replay. Good luck to him. I love a redemption arc and the stick i heard some people giving him walking away from the WHU match was totally unfair. |

Can't be beyond the realms of possibility to identify away tickets that were purchased and then not scanned in at the away ground? I wonder if it's just easier for the club to turn a blind eye to this, rather than having all the bad press? How do you know if someone bought a ticket with no intention of going or if they got a puncture on the way to the match? |

Anyone else caught in that strange scenario where they are in the ballot/queueing for every home match (only got Liverpool tix so far), so will probably only end up going to 5 matches at home this season.....but.....have enough away points to be guaranteed tickets away (apart from maybe brentford and bournemouth). I didn't intend to go to EVERY away match this season but I'm not missing a game or else I'll drop a point (I do actually go to all away games and don't just buy the ticket for the point btw - that's not a fair thing to do) and then I won't get a chance to see the boys home or away. I know this is on me and I should have bought a season ticket years ago. I go on my own every week and very often, if friends are going (from time to time) I'll get tickets in the same stand as them, and different friends like different stands, so it's always been nice to not need to commit to one seat for a whole season. I'm not moaning as I know some people would kill to go to away matches, just feel like this is a strange scenario. Can't wait for Saturday, Southampton away last year was great, I think that was the match where I truly thought we could compete for promotion. Just hoping it doesn't take me 5 hours to get back to Cambridge this time. |
 | Forum Thread | walking from Man Picadilly to the Etihad at 15:45 19 Aug 2024
I am going to the match on Saturday on my own and was planning to walk the journey from the railway station to the ground as it's only 1.5 miles. Does anyone know if it is a safe walk, or would the walk from the station to the ground be through any rough areas? It's essentially walking along the A662. Thank you in advance. |
