I see the Pasoti owner loves us
at 22:32 5 May 2023

I guess from an Argyle point of view most fans are just amazed at how quickly we have bounced back from nearly losing league status to being back in the championship next season and beating bigger and better teams like yourselves and the others.
It is an achievement of course and I would imagine from a Town point of view you would imagine being far better than us and I can accept that and agree with that point of view too.
I dont care what happens sunday, if we win great if we draw great if we lose great, who cares?
Now as for next season whats going to happen?
Well you will prosper and minimum be mid table I would imagine and Argyle will be in and around the relegation places and possibly be a yo yo club for a while, your club is far better equipt to deal with the championship than we are, we have a chairman who everyone is brown nosing and yet he wont even fill the corners in with temp seating and get a few thousand extra fans in.
As for the love in on Pasoti, totally agree its ridiculous and I get bored seeing the Ipswich or other teams fans in peace crap, no one is in peace they usually have a wind up and to what end?
I wish you all luck its been a great season and overall probably the two best teams this season are going up, in what order who knows or cares?
If you get the title you will deserve it, if we get it then i guess we did too!
Anyway, keep smiling we have a new exciting season to look forward to

Every time we sing We Are Top Of The League
at 01:32 19 Apr 2023

A team top of the league and in the top two at the end of games played since October is not a team punching above their weight.
We all admire this amazing run you have been on and recognise that though currently second you're now the best team in the league, had you done this earlier in the season you wouldn't be sweating it out all this time.
However, without meaning to be all precious about my club, I have to say that where we haven't spent stupid money on players like you have and can, we have been very smart recruiting via loans and using data.
I can tell you now no one thought we would be where we are now at the start of the season but we are because we have a brilliant set up at Home Park.
The system will be in place next season where we assume like everyone else that we will be relegation fodder but im not so sure that will be the case but only time will tell us this.
A club with our limited resources has to play a different way to clubs like yours in the market and its clearly worked.
I think others have recalled last season too where we seemingly imploded, we didn't btw we just didn't have the depth required to cope and results fell apart, there was no visible implosion just being caught out with poor management which has been rectified this season.
Anyway, onwards to the end of the season, good luck in your fight for the title, its just a shame its only worth bragging rights and not more money.

Lots of Plymouth predicting we fluff our
at 01:07 10 Apr 2023

What were the odds of that 😄
Anyway, from an betting point of view it matters not, you're a great team possibly champions and we are a good team possibly champions.
Same prize all round so matters not a jot if its 1st or 2nd as long as we get there, whether we stay there or not is another matter.

Odds are reflected on the amount of punters placing a bet, it has nothing to do with what the bookies think will happen.

This is still an emotional rollercoaster of a season, we have been good all season and higher than expected but now praying we stay there, if we drop in to the play offs it's league one again next season.
Ipswich though are something else, another team that have been to the top and near it all season, currently on a ridiculous run and are playing everyone off the park.
Wednesday clearly don't fancy top two and doing their best to ensure they are in League one next season whilst Barnsley have faltered just when we all thought they would be the ones to watch.
In theory it's Argyle and Ipswich for top two but we all know it isn't quite that simple, either or both could falter just as easily as the others, regardless of how formidable you are.
This has been a season like no other, each forum goes in to meltdown as soon as you have a defeat and reading each one including our own can make you laugh.
Good luck in these last 7 games, if you win the league I will be happy for you, if you come second then likewise, if we make it I will be chuffed, if we don't.... we'll I have the meltdown to read for three months lol.
Good luck everyone.

A lot of respect to your team they are flying, they not only beat the fodder but teams around them.
For me, if you don't get in the top two now I will be surprised as much as you would be dismayed.

Gotta beat Derby
at 01:42 30 Mar 2023

Find it highly unlikely you'll get that many points at this time of the season.
Just don't see you beating Derby, they need a win to stay in the play offs whilst you need it to stay in touch with Wednesday so it's got draw all over it.
I'm not sure which team is better from you, Barnsley or Wednesday but my money would probably be on Barnsley.
I have a feeling Barnsley will be second to Argyle at the end of the season and you'll lose to Peterborough in the play offs.

I would be more worried about what you do at the weekend first, Derby is no guaranteed win, you need the win to stay in touch with top two whilst Derby need to win to stay in the play offs, I think youll do well to get a draw

Notlob or Plymouth cup final
at 00:40 28 Mar 2023

As an Argyle fan I would like us to win it, unlike yourselves we've never won anything and though we all agree what a waste of time this competition is, it's still a cup final.
I am sure we will go for the win and I hope we do, but it's not that important in the grand scheme of things and whatever happens someone will be happy whilst the other less so.
We are taking nearly 40k with us which is ridiculous bug will make it roughly an 80k attendance, but I don't think there many if any that are bothered entirely If we win or lose, it's just an extra game... more a mid season friendly.
As for the league, I am certain come Morecambe we will be up for it, why not?
No one can afford many slip ups, its too close to call and an exciting end to the season.
We are in a better place squad wise than last season so doubt we will implode but we are worth getting at as our defence is barely league one standard tbh.
Either way I'm wishing all four clubs good luck, whoever makes top two deserves it, whoever wins the play offs will deserve it especially if they've had a good season unlike mighty Derby.

The only thing in your hands is to keep winning, you're currently 5 points behind us with a game in hand.
You firstly have to win that game in hand or Barnsley are going to be taking third from you.
I just don't see you making up enough ground to overhaul us and personally think Barnsley are better than you and us and probably likely to take 2nd.

Quite obviously it's not in your hands at this moment in time to grab 2nd, the worry at this moment for you is Barnsley bang on form beating everyone.
I think your chances of top two hinge a lot on two games, Derby and Barnsley.
Argyle are thankfully winning but last nights result puts pressure on us to keep performing, Wednesday will win the league so its a shootout for second and three in the race.
Having been top two for most of the season it would be a hard pill to swallow if we are sucked into the play offs.
The most likely 2nd place team currently is Barnsley, I think your draws have left a huge gap for them, if Argyle drop too many points we will be in the play offs.
If however you beat Barnsley I think you'll nick 2nd, but you have to beat Derby though I have that down as a draw.
This is a season where 4 teams deserve promotion but only two will be certain whilst some underachieving team will probably win the play offs.
It's kind of exciting but at the same time it's not, the performances no longer matter its just about 3 points in each game no matter how they come.
Good luck to your club as we battle this out.

Bloody international call ups!
at 01:52 17 Mar 2023

Where on earth have you plucked 5 points better than Argyle from?
You say you are timing this perfectly but you do realise barring Bolton who are faltering that you have only beaten teams that are struggling, you havent pulled up any trees.
Everyone expected you to beat the first four but at least draw with bolton so beating them was a great result for you.
I am certainly not in meltdown myself as im quite confident you wont catch us now but you only have to read our forum to see just how dramatic our fairy fans can be.
OMG we lost a game, its the end of the world, the manager screwed it up and so on, weve only lost 6 games fgs and still in second, funny being a fan really but i just dont see how you can catch us now but we will see :)

Who are currently above the small town of Ipswich who are punching above their weight and struggling with their superior money and squad to gain second place in League One, what a fall from grace you have had hey.
Hopefully your little town will have their day back in the Championship where you can pretend to be a big club :)
Meanwhile, I think this is a great season for many clubs and its made League One a mini Championship with so many going on ridiculous unbeaten runs and pushing others to do the same.
Its anyones guess who will be runners up to Wednesday, the probability is Argyle, but anything can and usually does happen in this league.
Personally I think you having the Barnsley game cancelled is a bad thing for you if Argyle pick up maximum points in the next week.

Tonight was just another example of Argyle pushing hard in the second half after being blown apart in the first half.
Derby really aren't all that and I think we all know and love that, however we have plugged away all season and i think we deserve to be in the position we are in right now.
It has been a fantastic season for us, Ipswich and Wednesday and who knows what the outcome will be but its been exciting.
As for that pen....
Not a penalty in anyone's eyes, on the night as a fan you are going to want it and you're going to love having them given, we've seen the Derby forum saying things like the EFL have rung the ref to make sure we win.... big club syndrome up there and feeling sorry themselves that little clubs dare to beat them.
You have done your job over the last four games beating the cannon fodder as you should do, whether this will be of any use to you over the rest of the season is yet to be seen but after Saturday its pretty plain sailing for Argyle, but for the other chasing teams its not so easy.
I do agree that the Argyle fan saying its a pen must be smoking something because anyone a fan or not can see Azaz did a job and won the pen.

Well at the moment we have all kinds of excuses for losing 5-2 whether its fatigue or losing concentration, I put it down to being thrashed by the better team on the day who wanted it more than we did.
At 3-2 we were chasing the game but still in it, but errors from all quarters meant we got soundly beaten and fair play to them.
As for promotion, well every fan wants their team to get automatics and I think its fair to say no one expected us to stay the course, most certainly not Argyle fans.
We are where we are because we have earnt it but nothing is won as it stands and it is still in our hands to get over that line but three hard games coming up where in all possibility we could end up with no points at all.
Our run in is however much more favourable than others around us and it wouldnt surprise me even with three more losses that we end up winning the rest of them and pinching 2nd place.
It has been one hell of a season and Wednesday are now showing everyone that they are most likely the winners of the league and fair play to them, who comes in second though well you could throw a coin in the air and see where it lands its that close.
The aim from an Argyle view point was to go one better than last season, we finished on a record points total which failed to get play offs, we had a lack of bodies come the end and this is where we have made a difference this season adding the bodies needed to get us through.
Do I expect us to get 2nd now?
Not really no, it could easily be you or Derby tbh, it would be disappointing but thats life and we would just give it a go in the play offs and see what happens, but there is always next season.
Good fun this season though :)
