West Brom Sack Mowbray After Three Months
at 11:46:56

@Leejames99

Personally, I don't think that the majority of players we currently have would have signed if it wasn't for our manager.
They all want to play for him, and most signed because of him and the way he coaches.
His coaching is second to none, he is well respected by his players and staff.
We don't get to see what goes on behind closed doors.

I for one think he will bring stability and build a decent squad to challenge and compete next season.
Why do you feel the need to sack him? and if so who is your number one choice to replace and get us promoted again?

Yes he has made a few mistakes along the way this season, but who hasn't? Even Pep has.
Long term we will be fine. We never expected to get promoted this quick, we didn't quite have the set up, players, scouts and coaches etc.
The Mckenna managed to temp Delap to come here, and without him we would have probably been rock bottom.

And lastly, we don't have a ringleader, I don't know anyone else on here personally.
But you seem to have such one sided views and seem to think that you know football better than anyone else on here.
That's not having a pop either, you are entitled to your opinion just as we all are.
I just think that you are jumping the gun a little bit with the manager.

Give it time.
He needs another season in the Championship, as do 90% of our squad.
We will be a force next season.
Write this season off and give it time.

West Brom Sack Mowbray After Three Months
at 09:42:20

@Leejames99

Why don't you put in for the vacant West Brom managers job?
Considering that you know so much about managing a football club and formations, tactics etc etc.
Mckenna in 'your' opinion is unless?

Seriously what planet do you live on? Yeah ok he has been naïve at times this season, so what.
Most of the team wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for him and his man managing skills etc.
Give him time, he will come good.

Chelsea 2-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 10:43:05

Good result at the end of the day.
Most of us would have taken a point before the start, and lets be honest, most of us expected a heavy defeat.
Chelsea are chasing a Champions league place and have world class players.
Ok its a tad disappointing to concede another two goals etc, but it is what it is.

Anyway, still waiting for 'LeeJames' 1000 word take on this match...........

Man City will not get a massive points deduction and be relegated.
Liam Delap will not be here next season and will move on regardless if we stay up or go down.
Kalvin Philipps will not sign for us in the summer.
Where do you get all your info from Leejames99?
You seem to have such a vast knowledge of everything, and seem to be able to find the time to post so many long and detailed posts about everything. I don't have the time to spend every minute on here, so hats off to you.

McKenna: More Than Likely Town Will Be in the Championship Next Season
at 10:31:33

Although it is disappointing, most of us expected it lets be honest here.
Even the 'lower' ranked Prem teams are far superior to us and the two other promoted teams
Wolves, Everton, West Ham, Brentford, Bournemouth, Palace etc are streaks ahead of us.

The current gap of 22 points between Southampton and Wolves is crazy, yet only three places separate them.

Put that 22 points gap in the Championship from the current bottom club (Plymouth) who are 24th and on 37 pts and it would take you right up to 7th place! (Coventry) on 59 pts.

Its not that Us, Leicester and the Saints are poor, its the fact that everyone else is miles ahead of us in quality etc etc.

If Leeds, Burnley and Sheffield utd go up, can you see any of them staying up?
Even Wolves will be even stronger next season.
The premier league is a joke and needs fixing.
And don't get me started on VAR! Why did it take so long to do two fairly simple offside checks for the goals?
I'm sure we will be favourites to go back up and if we do? The fiasco starts all over again.

As of right now, the Premier league can Fudge right off!!

Why keep having a pop at Muric?
This article has nothing whatsoever to do with him.

Ok he has cost us a few points over the season, so what!
He has also saved us lots of points too from preventing nailed on goals.
Many, many other players have cost us points too, all over the pitch, from missed tackles, giving away silly fouls and not hitting the target etc, etc.
I don't get all this hanging out Muric. He is our keeper, he's great on his day and has saved us many many times.
Have you not seen his amazing saves earlier in the season?
Ok he has made a few costly errors, but who hasn't this season on the outfield pitch?
Get off the blokes back for gods sake!! I hope he really proves you haters wrong.

Anyway on to the article Its great news and I cant wait to see him play again next season.
Class player, lightening fast, skilful. And a real decent guy.
Well done Chieo!!!

AFC Bournemouth 1-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report

Great win.
Still a massive massive ask, but not dead yet.
We needs to string two or three wins together now somehow.
Hopefully this will give the lads some much needed confidence now.
Wolves will lose games, they have some tough games, but then so do we.
If we beat them on Saturdays we will be six behind plus GD. That's still 2 or 3 wins to their losses..
We need to keep winning.
Why cant we beat Wolves, Arsenal and Brentford at home?
We have all believe and give it our best shot!

Wolves Win to Open Up 12-Point Gap
at 08:18:32

What a rubbish league where the winner and bottom three are more or less decided on the 1st of April.
Something has to change, If Leeds, Sheff Utd and Burnley come up you know that at least two of them will go straight back down, probably all three if I'm being honest.
Wolves had a poor season but they are still streaks ahead of the promoted teams.
Its just not sustainable anymore.
You cant compete with squads worth half a Billion.
Promoted teams cannot spend 200+ million to try and compete as they will get deducted points.
Going forwards it will be three teams from nine or so swapping places and going up every other season etc etc. with maybe an outsider now and then.
The three relegated teams will come down with decent squads and money to reinvest in decent Championship players and managers. They will be able to attract decent players and pay the wages.

Burnley, Leicester, Southampton, Leeds, Sheffield Utd, Ipswich, Possibly Luton if they stay up, Possibly Birmingham, Sunderland and a couple of others.
The Championship will end up like the Premier league. with a big top six teams battling it out each season. The only difference will be the play offs which will be a lottery.
Its not over yet by a mathematical standard, but by a realist standard it is well over.

The Championship will be a far better league to watch and compete in than this corrupt, biased, boring, fake league. Big clubs are protected and favoured over 'smaller' clubs.
The Premier league isn't what is was when I remember our last promotion in 2000.
Its dire and good riddance to it.
Maybe next time we may be a little bit better off to compete, who knows.
I'm sure Leicester and Southampton fans will agree.

I remember in the summer last year I got speaking to some Sheffield Utd fans on holiday.
They congratulated me on our promotion and said to me, enjoy the new grounds and watching the world class players etc, but the Premier league is corrupt and rubbish and its depressing watching your team get battered every week.
The said they were looking forward to the Championship.
How right they were!!!

Morsy: We've Refreshed, Taken Stock and Will Come Back Stronger
at 10:40:05

This league can do one.
Unless you are very very lucky all season or have half a billion to spend, there is a very very slim chance of ever staying up.
Money and greed has killed the Premier league, and football in general.
The Championship is a great league, with amazing atmospheres and end to end football.
The bottom clubs are more than capable of getting a result against the top clubs, unlike trying to compete against teams with 400 million of talent sitting on the bench ready to be unleashed against you.
Can you honestly see Leeds, Burnley and Sheffield utd etc staying up?
And if so, who is poor enough to go down?
Each season is getting harder and harder.

We need a Premier league 1 and 2 and turn the championship into Premier 2 with a gradual reduction of clubs down to 20.
There is no other way. the current set up isn't sustainable.

McKenna: An Important Week
at 08:47:53

We need at least 4 wins from our remaining games.
We haven't won a single game in 2025.
We have trouble scoring and scoring more than one goal.
We have trouble defending and keeping a clean sheet.
We still have to play Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle.

No its not impossible, Yes there are still 27 points to play for.
By the end of this week we could be 3 points behind Wolves or 15 points behind them.
For us to stay up we need a miracle and need to start sparking.
At least by Monday next week we will know and can start planning for next season.
This season has been pretty poor to say the least and too many individual errors and cost us so many points.
COYB.
Whatever the outcome, we are so much stronger than we were two seasons ago!!
