Sent to Coventry
at 22:27:30

Excellent blog. My family has links to the Leamington area so your points on there brought back many childhood memories.
There are many comparisons to make between Coventry and Ipswich although I hope our current board are shrewd enough to not enter such a poor business deal as Coventry did when they moved to the Ricoh. Its a sad demise for the great footballing city of Coventry, and a ground share with Northampton is poor solution to their problems. I hope for the sake of their fans the ultimate outcome is good.

A Plea For Patience
at 17:34:32

If the fans of every Championship team were honest it hasn't been a great season. Every team has had shaky seasons as proven by the points gap between play-offs and relegation. I think this blog is right in pointing out the correlation between this and the merry-go-round of managers. I've lost count of the number of clubs in the Football League who've changed manager this term, it must be over half. Unfortunately loyalty and stability do not mix well with money and power so I fear this pattern will only continue to grow.

Keep Your Friends Close and Your Enemies Closer
at 17:24:09

This is a well-written blog. However, I fail to see the class in Mr Chopra's lack of professionalism. Whilst he may wish to prove those who fail to see his abilities wrong, his talent is not an excuse to disrespect his club, fellow professionals and most importantly ITFC fans. Twitter has a lot to answer for but Mr Chopra should have the sense to do the talking with his boots and not his tweets!

McCarthy: As Good As Anything I've Achieved
at 17:12:44

Sensible plain talking Mick and his team have been a revelation for recent ITFC history. TBH I thought he was a fool to take the job on as not only were we bottom at that point but adrift too. Since then the play and tempo of the games has improved. I'd like to thank Mick and the team for making my season ticket feel enjoyable for the first time in near on five years. I hope we keep up the good work rate next season.

Emmanuel-Thomas: Time for New Adventure
at 17:04:59

The sad thing for Mr Emmanuel-Thomas is he will be a great asset for a lower Premier League side but is too much of a luxury player in the Championship. However, he shown a much better attitude than his colleagues at this news and I hope for his sake he fulfills the promise of the talent we have occassionally seen.

Chopra: I Don't Have to Leave
at 16:51:50

I'm afraid Mr Chopra is the epitomy of the modern day footballer. Too much money at too young a age and no sense what to do with it! This comment more than makes me angry and is the exact reason we should pay up his contract and put him on the srap heap. For once the man should show some humility and maturity considering the assistance he has been given with his addiction problems. Perhaps the least he could do if he is here next season is show some pride wearing blue and white. Goals I fear may be too much to ask for!

The Real Cost of High Prices? The Future of the Club.
at 09:06:11

Excellent blog. The club has for a number of years been jeopardising losing the next generation of fans. As a girl in her 20s who has held a season ticket since the age of 9, the disparity between the cost of a junior, student and then adult season ticket is a factor that particularly in my early 20s made me seriously consider giving up my season ticket. There is a massive jump in price from a junior/student season ticket cost to an adult one. It is almost certainly losing fans especially when it is this generation who are struggling to achieve a job that just pays the cost of living.
The club have shot themselves in the foot by not considering reducing the price of season tickets. As a result it means they cannot repeatedly reduce matchday prices as there would be an element of season tickets holder who'd feel aggrieved if matchday prices were lower than season ticket cost per game. However, personally I would rather see Portman Road filled to the rafters than the huge number of empty seats there are now week in, week out. It would also give the team a huge lift at a time when they are apparently struggling for motivation. Incidentally I'd say the crowd figures, especially this season, are inflated due to the automatic inclusion of season ticket holders.
Regardless of where we end up at close season (and at best this will be lower half of championship), the club must review the cost of season tickets in order to correlate it with the community's economy. Otherwise I fear the number of season tickets holders could decrease even further.

Town Up Chopra Offer
at 09:16:03

This seems to counter Simon Clegg's comments in the week which seemed to suggest we had to sell before we could buy. If Chopra keeps his head there is no doubt he would be an excellent acquisition for Town, it could prove to be a fruitful partnership with Wickham. However, if we pay him stupid wages, how does that make the rest of the squad feel? If his purchase would cause disrest amongst the squad it just won't be worth it for the club. I have quite mixed feelings on this and the word out of Cardiff is that Chopra wants to step up to the Premiership so this may all turn out to be an OTT rumour.

Wickham: The Perfect Way to End the Season
at 14:24:49

Well done Connor! All Town fans should be v.proud of your play and conduct throughout this tournament, a shining example to the other youngsters at the club. Hopefully these youngsters will inspire the senior England squad so the whole country can celebrate in June and July.

Trotter and Millwall in Play-Offs
at 09:50:41

Ashley - agree but then again Gary Roberts also has been superb for Huddersfield this season as well. Trotter should have pushed himself more at the start of the season otherwise why didn't he go to Scunthorpe for a longer contract. His level at present is championship/league 1 borderline and he should now know this and apply himself more when he's at Town.

Town Scouting in Sweden
at 09:35:43

bored of the sunderland comments and the norwegian guy - we went to sweden, different place! RK stuck with what he knows last season, you always take a gamble with overseas lads as you have to factor in the pace of the game here. Pim was not a bad signing he just wasn't championship level yet. RK has to trust the scouts and their judgment, not rely on utube montages.

Wickham Sunderland Link Revived
at 09:22:19

If Wickham goes this summer one of two things will happen - we'll regret it like with Rhodes or he won't make it and be sat in reserve fixtures so he may as well have seen out an apprenticeship with Town. I feel for youngsters nowadays as soon as they show a spark big £ signs fly around the press and in the long term its not always the best for them. Connor's only just turned 17 and he'd do well to stick with us for a season or two and then assess the situation and then perhaps consider a move up (if we haven't allowed that to happen for him).

McEveley Linked Again

Went to derby twice this season and saw portman road game - he's not good enough as he's too injury prone. Great attitude, but should probably play league 1, hope Town recognise this 2.

Rosenior Happy to Keep Options Open
at 09:10:53

TBH I think this is local press stirring again - much more of these comments get highlighted since RK's arrival. He was always a loan player sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and maybe there is a bit of attitude there esp. when u consider how he left Reading. Rosenoir is only early 20s, he'll grow out of that. If he made it clear to RK he didn't see his future at the club then RK was right to drop him as by that point RK was trying to build for 10-11 season.

Wright Thanks Fans
at 08:56:13

You can say what you like about David Wright's ability and his profile on and off the pitch. However, since he's been at the club he has been by far our most consistent player. I can count on one hand the number of bad games he's had for town and there are v.few of the 1st team you can now say that about. He also has versatility as a defender being able to go on the right or left. We will regret this one and he will go to Norwich due to family and club ties. I do feel for him as he did all Keane asked and still got shown the door but football's like that and it seems he realises this. Good luck David!

Town Linked With Yeovil Defender
at 08:48:26

actually impressed that we're now being linked with lower league players - there are some good lads out there. lower-league players also appreciate playing in championship more than someone of same level or who's dropped down from prem, thus leading to more passion. can't say i've heard of this guy and as he's left sided full-back not sure why we're tracking him when we have shane o'connor. surely the more immediate concern must be right-back as d wright and rosenior have been shown the door and smith struggles with right-back as he prefers centre-half.

Keane: Work For Next Season Starts This Evening
at 21:02:49

I think the work should have started six months ago - when we'd already written this season off. Most Town fans would not have brought Priskin, let alone paid £1.7m for him - proof that Keane doesn't watch lower league football. I think Keane was sold a dud by his old manager in Martin, reports from Plymouth when he was on loan there was that he faded away after the first month on loan there. D Wright going is crazy he is arguably our best defender and definitely the most consistent in the back line over the last 2 seasons plus he can play either side of the field. I want to like Keane but he's done nothing yet to convince me that my initial misgivings when he was appointed are wrong.
