Martin Keen to Stay at Portman Road
at 19:57:58

2 Pence in machine...

I have was frustrated when he was left out in the cold by RK as i felt I never had the chance to witness his full potential. However, on his return and long run of games i have been left disappointed; this i admit is probably slightly biased as i my expectation is guided by his price tag and my value for money assessment. In short, he does not chip in enough goals...Yes he runs around and make an effort... but so would a puppy.
If he excepts a considerable drop in pay, he is a good option for the bench but i believe we could get a better player for that kind of salary or lower.
In short, stay for wage drop if not, best wishes.

Bullard Set for Exit
at 15:52:26

Hand up...Yes I wanted him here, and gutted he has not embraced a good opportunity and set of fans that gave him a clean slate.
I really thought he had a dip in form last season, and would repay the club this year and reignite his career in the final years.
So sad..So disappointed for the chap, no doubt more going on than we will ever know about.
I no longer want curly hair …

Villa's Cresswell Move at Early Stage
at 11:45:20

2 pence in the slot…..click!
Well...in the end if the boy wants to go then...regardless of price, then let him go...sadly, it is future and his career. I think the days of pledging allegiance to a club for your playing career is a dying cliché.
Yes I believe he is a great player for the future of the club, but the club cannot refuse that kind of return on investment.
On a positive note...where there's one there is another. (PJ found this one)

I will still be there 1st game of the season until the end, and support whomever is in the team.

Town Talking to Former Loanee Fuller
at 13:14:46

I appricate Ricardo Fuller could be of some use...however i would be happier to see the develpoment of a young hungery, lower leauge, here's your chance go and get it player (or Ronan Murry). Ricardo has a habit of ducking in and out of games depending on the result going in a positive direction. ITFC will have to fght for every game next year and he does not fit the vison IMHO.
That said... as a spectator (STH) i will cheer whomever ends up lucky enough playing at PR.

Jewell to Make Changes for Burnley Clash
at 16:30:08

Big fan of Drury but his form did dip on Saturday, Probably due to his tireless work rate and commitment over a string of games. Personally i would like to see Stevenson start in his place with Bowyer on the bench and agree Scotland for JET. Carson and Hyam will probably get a look in towards the final couple of matches and play a more integral role next season. As a final note; Mr Leadbitter has been too cold than hot in performance and although his form over the last two matches is much improved , i would only offer him an extension on contract with significant reduction in wages. (Time to put your heart where your wallet was Grant!)

Town Confirm McCarthy Loan
at 13:53:28

Embarrassing that we creep cap in hand to a championship rival and ask for a lone of their bench warming keeper. I do not doubt the boys ability but when he has penned his allegiance to Reading why waste our time? ALB made one mistake in the last match with a very very dubious defence and is know left to feel humiliated. I am quite an admirer of Neil Warnock but let me make this clear… he is an excellent character in football and one in which the English game needs but not Ipswich town FC, I would rather see the guy doing punditry. We have been down the route of ex successful manager who made the premiership with some club at some point and in short it has not worked out. If a manager change is going to made lets appoint a fresh one, Huddersfield, Swindon or even Brighton or alike.
I would like to ask a final question that I cannot quite fathom…Has anyone watch last week's interview with Andy Dury? He had some very strange responses to questions relating to when he spoke to PJ before and after his game or rather he hadn't even spoken to PJ much at all. After his performance one would hope his manager would have a few complimentary words with the guy or maybe PJ passed him in the dressing room and failed to recognise him?
This typifies the problems I see at ITFC

Thoughts anyone?

Jewell: We Deserved to Win
at 19:46:14

Thought we were terribly unlucky, every 50/50 went the other way, every bounce went their direction and even the ref represented them more than us. I was happy with the responce from the team and that is a joint effort from them and the manger. Walked away from PR happier and with a little more hope.
Yes we lost, but i love soemone who goes out fighting.
I back the manger and the team at MY club.
Looking forward to the next match.

Jewell Waiting on Sonko and Martin
at 13:55:15

I'm sure a substitution in the defence pack will cause an element of unsettled play for a period. He did put in some good defensive work in his time on the pitch. Delaney, like the rest is a confidence player and would and should feel uncomfortable after some tragic defensive matches. Hopefully he will improve after Mondays match and his contribution to a rare clean sheet.

Jewell Delighted With Win
at 10:04:22

Good game last night, shame about the attendance.
I feel that there were quite a few positives in the playing performance during the match last night and some evidence that that some optimism is returning after some low confidence performances across the opening fixture list. Jimmy Bullard I feel will improve as he gets minutes under his belt, at times he looked out on his feet and caught in the headlights, however he shows great effort and adds that edge required. Keith Andrews displays pure hunger; he wants the ball all the time and shows a fierce determination to succeed. Creswell will be the find of the season I my humble opinion; a great little player. Defensively we are vastly improved and this must be a weight off the mind of the midfield and give them more freedom and confidence to play a more expressive pattern of play; still some work to be done regarding settling as a unit and if Sonko is out for the next few matches it will be a disappointing loss. However Ingimarsson should be available for the matches ahead, unless another setback uncured? Some very tough matches ahead; but I believe that if we keep it simple with tight passing played to feet then on tonight's display we are in with a good shout.
I have always encouraged a more balance and fair review of ITFC Team and Manager after Christmas in the start of the New Year. It may go against the flow on here but only by then do feel we will see the more settled product.

Stuck me neck out there a bit…So…Who's first with their blue axe?, make sure it's nice & sharp, I am a fellow fan, so a nice clean cut please.

Bullard: Easy Decision to Rejoin Town
at 17:54:44

I never did believe it would happen...hey there you go, funny old game, a good signing that will hopefully bring some cheer inside the dressing room and goals on the pitch. I feel that this has slightly over shadowed the arrival of Daryl Murphy whom I believe will make a great difference with a more physical presence. Still a tough match on Saturday but the season has a smile again and it's a cheeky curly cockney.
