 | News Comment | Villa Activate Philogene Matching Rights at 12:06:29
Everyone just needs to chill - there’s far too many ready to chuck it all in simply because the transfer isn’t done and dusted as quickly as they’d like. Just because Villa have activated the matching rights doesn’t mean he’s going there, and if reports are to believed, he’s keen to come and join us. This is the hard world of Premier League business and finance. Clubs will do everything in their power to maximize revenue, and if we were in Villa’s shoes we’d be doing exactly the same. I can’t believe we’ve negotiated a deal worth £1m for Ahadme, and got £400k for El Miz - but nowadays we’ve obviously got people in the club who know what they’re doing. |

Home kit is ok but looks like Glasgow Rangers, and the away kit is a hybrid of Villa and Burnley and is truly awful. |
 | News Comment | Ed Sheeran New Town Sponsor at 17:10:37
Would have preferred local band Extreme Noise Terror to be the sponsor, but beggars can't be choosers... |
 | News Comment | Lambert Meets Blues Legends at 17:39:59
Love it! Great to see Burley, Butcher and Wark being involved and consulted on matters. Whatever happens this season I think we're in good hands with Lambert in the long term. Up or down, follow The Town. |
 | News Comment | Hurst: Waghorn Interest Still Very Much There at 01:00:40
If we can get £8m for Waghorn, with most of it up front, we should do so. Harrison's performance today was impressive and bodes well for the season, although we still need another striker to challenge Sears and Garner. Another RB is also needed since I'm still not convinced by either Spence or Emmanuel. More importantly, we must hold on to Dozzell, Nydam and Downes - they could be the dynamic midfield we've been in desperate need of for ages. If selling Waghorn enables us to hold on to them for a few more seasons then it'll be worth it. |
 | News Comment | Updated: Webster Set for Bristol City as Clubs Agree Fee at 17:08:09
If we end up getting £8m it's a good bit of business for an unproven, injury hit player. Webster has potential but every time I've watched him he reminds me of a slightly better version of Phil Whelan. |
 | News Comment | Town Sign Macclesfield Winger at 23:12:22
Terrible music for the video montage. Surely "Dan's Underpants" by the Macc Lads would have been better? I'm happy with signings like this. A young, hungry, lower league player who will hopefully seize his chance. Welcome, and all the best Danny. |
 | News Comment | McCarthy: Second Best and Deserved Nowt at 19:26:35
I'm fuming at the grammar, punctuation and spelling on this board. For the record: You're - as in, you are a complete plank. Your - as in, your spelling is bad. They're - as in, they are not very clever. Their - as in, their schooling didn't amount to much. There - as in, go and sit in the corner over there. Lesson over, as you were. |
