Floridaboy - These same supporters follow them even to pre season matches so I think they earn their opinion even if you don't agree. I also prefer we are positive for the new season, we always have hope haha |

Dan, what a difference a game makes? Not sure if you were at Luton, but I was and the gulf in class was minimal. Excluding Luongo who looked tidy, it was poor and only defensive organisation will shape our season. We are not hard to beat, typically a MUST have with any successful team in the Championship. |

SouperJim - I don't care that we lost a pre season game, couldn't care less. What I do care about is that we are conceding goals from set pieces yet again. Yes, the defender was strong in the air but jeez, no one got within yards of him each time. I was at the game and he was dominant in the air all day, you would haver thought someone would have paid attention to that! It might be an idea to sign that fella up btw, Luton player of the season last year and highly thought of apparently. Only the manager can be blamed if we are still conceding the goals from set pieces 18 months in surely? |

Brotherblue1974 - Give the guy a break. He is still young and will learn that consistency is required. Lets face it, if he was consistent and the finished article, he wouldn't be playing in the Championship. |

I watched the Luton game on Saturday and to be honest, this little fella looked the best player by a mile, very assured and decent. I don't read too much into the score to be honest, there were many changes in the 2nd half so you get that disjointed performance. More worrying for me is that Luton's big lad at the back was dominant in set pieces and Ipswich showed their usual frail backline. Positives, Creswell and Edwards were good going forward 2nd half. We created 4-5 great chances, combination of poor finishing and good saves. Negatives, we need more width (excluding fullbacks), I can't remember anyone else getting to the by-line and getting a decent cross in. With Bullard playing in a more forward role and Luongo playing deep, you could park a bus in the midfield, the gaps are so big. I think we could be easily overrun in midfield in that system. We controlled the ball better 2nd half when Jimmy was hooked. That is more about the system that him though, he played ok. |

Sunderland are a mickey mouse club as well. I heard today that David Healy is still being paid £55k a week at Sunderland. A very well placed source told me and if thats the case, I am surprised they aren't giving him away now!!! More money than sense! |
