I take your point but with if we do indeed have a strict wage structure, we will continue to miss out on the better players and will never seriously be able to expect to be a Premiership team again which is, after all, Evans' ambition (or pipe dream perhaps?). None of us want a return to the financial woes of the past but I doubt it would have taken bank a busting shift to land our man. Anyway, all highly speculative I suppose as there may well have also been other factors that swayed him towards Burnely. Perhaps the fantastic scenery and the night-life?? |

rosseden, are you Clegg's personal adviser? Is that why we seldom land any decent signings?? As I said, you sometime have to pay a premium to get the better players (or players with great potential) cos if they are any good, they will sure as hell have plenty of other offers. |

FFS! I knew it was too good to be true! Bloody Clegg agian being a scrooge! Offer the man a decent wage and we would have bagged him! Sometimes you have to pay a premium if you want to progress, but oh no, Billionaire Evans couldn't part with a few grand a week more to take this club forward. What a joke! |

I just hope this injury doesn't turn into a career ender. He was like a breath of fresh air in the team in the few games he played last season. Got my fingers crossed that he recovers fully and that Keano keeps him. |
 | News Comment | Town Again Chasing Forest\'s Adebola at 12:24:03
Don't worry my friends, this surely can't be anything more than paper talk. Keono isn't that desperate. Besides, if he really wants a lazy, has-been, couldn't hit a donkey's back-side with a banjo striker, he would recall the one we have on loan at Colchester. |
 | News Comment | Keane: I\'m Glad I\'m No Longer Playing at 11:00:21
Crazy! I think the usual FA pannel must all have Christmas and the New Year off so the decision was made by the cleaning lady and the odd-job man. To add an extra game is very unfair. Clubs should be able to appeal without fear of reprisals if they feel hard done by. |

Well, we certainly don't want to do Col U any favours. If they can'r afford him, tough. I urge you all to hate this bunch of Chavs nearly as much as Naaarwich because we are their scum and they hate us big time!I work in Colchester and have to put up with these idiots every day, still banging on about when we 'stole' George Burley from them. One good thing is they now hate Naaarwich nearly as much as they hate us since they also 'stole' their manager. |

Good move. Hopefully Keano will play Pim against Blackpool to give Delaney and Wright a rest to recover properly. |
 | News Comment | Clegg: Town\'s Debt Will Continue to Grow at 16:43:18
£35.7 M .Very, very worrying. The Executive Board seem arogantly sure that we will get into the prem league soon and finances will be settled. As much as I hope & pray this will happen, chances are that we won't do it for many many years yet with so many 'big' clubs now chasing the same dream. What will happen then?? ME is a businessman and will want his money back. It will be the death of our club. |

Sorry my friends but Wrighty is definitely not a quality keeper. The first half of last season he was truly awful and had been this season too (yes ok he kept the score down at the Hawthorns). Any player can be forgiven for having the odd off game but when you have regular runs of bad games it's time to face facts. I know it hardly matters now, but I wonder if Shane Supple would still be with us if Jim had given him his chance last season when Wrighty was off form? |
 | News Comment | Clegg: Win Just Around Corner at 12:57:38
Why is there so much talk about Sol Campbell?? Forget about him! If he is allowed to join another club, he will have so many options. Why on earth would he want to come and play for us???? |

Yes, it's because of the fantastic form he is in at the moment. Er.... |
 | News Comment | Keane: Unbelievably Bad Goals at 09:52:40
I'm getting a little worried now. Have the boys had time to gel? Well, I would be less worried if we were showing some promising signs but, alas, we are showing precious little. Every game it looks like it's the first time they have played together. Everybody expected Norwich to pull clear last season but it didn't happen. Undoubtedly Keane will not be pushed for a long time yet but I don't necessarily think it's too early to push the panic button when you can't see a light at the end of the tunnel. Basically, the team Keane inherited was almost there. We just needed a couple of additions really but in he came and dismantled the team, sold some of our best young players and brought in a load of old dross (with only one or two exceptions). Seems like he is making a lot of enemies too. "You will never play for me again! Oops, actually I might need you after all." Who is actually going to want to play for this man?? I don't know what the answer is at this stage but I am becoming very down about the whole situation. Jim Magilton must be peeing himself. |
