Thread | Advice needed turning a hobby into a business

Hi all,
I know there's a few business people on here so thought I'd seek out a little advice.
I've always been able to draw, mostly draw a few pictures every once in a while and then forget about it for a few years. Recently I've been drawing people's pets to help raise funds for a charity close to me. People send me a picture of their pets via the charities Facebook page, I draw it, send it to them and they make a donation to the charity.
This has been going really well and everyone I've drawn a picture for has said I should be doing it for a living which I'm now starting to consider.
What would be the best way to start something like that? Opening my own Facebook page so they can contact me & share it? Designing a website?
My worry would be how to take payments (the charity takes care of that). Is there a cheap online payment system I can easily add to a website or would it be better to use an Ebay account to start with?
Any thoughts or ideas gratefully received!

I wonder if things would have turned out any differently this season had ME stumped up the money for Tilt rather than going for the cheaper option in Nsiala? Having Tilt, Chambers, Pennington & keeping Woolfy here would have made us a lot stronger in the centre.
Hindsight eh? A wonderful thing. |

Thread | FAO Phil/Gav - TWTD shop not loading?

Been trying to get into the TWTD shop to look for t-shirts and keep getting "This site can’t be reached". I've tried adjusting my settings in case it's my laptop blocking it but to no avail.
Is the shop still going or is it part of the cutbacks needed to ensure hobnob supply? |

How they work it out: the site ranks the top 1000 football clubs in England each season. The ranking is based on a points score given to each team, taking into account their performance over the course of the season as well as the league they play in. The ranking covers all English pyramid leagues from the Premier League, right down to the 11th tier of English football.
Town make it into 40th place.

I was cruising until I got to the Smith side of my family. Come to a grinding halt with my great grandfather, John Smith. Trying to find anything on him is a nightmare! Even worse, he was a soldier in the Royal Artillery & his children were born in Ireland & India while serving.
Found all the census results from when they were in the UK but can't even find out the name of his wife who is down as Hannah, Anna & Annah in the census results.
Any ideas where I go next?
Looks like his father might have been John Smith as well.

Having now returned to the UK from the land of the clog, I thought the Easter break would be a good opportunity to head off to Aldershot, around 15-20 miles from where I now live, to see how Kundai Benyu is progressing. |

I'm heading off to the Aldershot v Torquay game this weekend to run the rule over Kundai Benyu as he's been getting rave reviews there. Be interesting to see him in action & find out what their supporters think of him.
