 | News Comment | Tractor Girls Complete Weekend Plymouth Double at 18:16:02
Good performance from the ladies. Passed the ball well, controlled possession for much of the game restricting Plymouth to the odd counter attack. Worked hard for each other and played well. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Credit to Maidstone, a Horrible Game to Lose at 16:25:36
Today was embarrassing but KMK remains the best manager we have had for many years. The reasons Maidstone are in the next round might be because they wanted it more, or because we were unlucky, it might be down to a referee that has become reliant on VAR to make tough decisions for him or because our squad depth is not good enough. Whatever the reasons we need a plan B to compete against physically strong, resilient and defensive minded sides because over the next couple of months there will be a number of Championship teams that have been shown a way to beat us. |
 | News Comment | Referee Madden to Face No Action at 13:48:05
This is precisely why the standard of refereeing will never improve for non-televised matches. Match officials can put in totally inept performances or in this case outright lie about what they told managers and there is zero accountability. Until action is taken to ensure officials at professional levels of the game are held to account and have to publically explain their erroneous decisions the EFL will continue to let down the clubs and fans they supposedly represent. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: I'd Say We Shaded It at 20:40:48
I accept that football success relies on the performance on the pitch and results, however I believe that McKenna's influence should not be under-estimated. He will analyse the opposition and make adjustments to our team that will helps us win games, as opposed to previous managers who changed the side in the hope they could stop the opposition winning. This has, so far, resulted in us closing the gap to the top 6 at a time when all of our strikers are suffering from a major dip in form - at least in terms of goalscoring. I am beginning to believe that McKenna may be the clubs best signing for several years. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: I Want to Get Back to the Highest Level as a Manager and the Dream is to Do It With Town at 18:31:34
There are many positive ideas and comments made during this interview but the point that gives me the most hope is his understanding that no club has a right to be in a higher division because of their fanbase or history, and that hard work and the right attitude are basic yet essential requirements to success. Too many people (myself included) from fans, to players, to management and owners have thought we have some sort of right to be higher up the league structure than we are, and this attitude has created complacency and poor results. I wish Mr McKenna well and hope he can convince the players, who definitely have the talent, that hard work is required every minute of every game. Hears to a brighter future. |
