My wife and two kids got in the ballot too. Third time for them and very surprised they got that lucky as all 3 needed to be selected for it! |

If needed in Ipswich area, I have always used Foremost. Local and typically well-priced. |

My family of 3 got their first successful ballot for Man Utd match. I had advised them that they were never likely to be successful based on probability of all 3 of them needing to be 'picked'. But I am obviously wrong.... The 3 of them have managed to get 2 other matches via General Sale on the Monday bunfight!! |
 | Forum Thread | Junior Blues - Shirt printing 50% off voucher at 18:53 12 Oct 2024
Have any Junior Blues card/vouchers been sent out? My two Junior Blues are fed up of waiting for the voucher to come through so I can benefit from 50% off! I have mailed the ticket office and the answer was not in the instant reply mail. |
 | Forum Reply | Writing a will. at 07:46 16 Sep 2024
Ok. If you are unmarried and have no kids, you should be fine! If you are married, with no kids, you can use a template to do a simple mirror will. As soon as kids are involved it becomes more complex. Guardians will be needed should both you and your wife pass away at a similar time. What happens if you pass away and your wife eventually remarries? Do you want your asset share to be locked for your kids rather than benefitting new 'stepdad' or 'step-kids'? These instructions can be added to the will in clauses if they are your wishes. Wife and I recently revamped our wills. Too complex for templates due to kids/wishes. High street solicitors were too expensive. We used Co-op legal services. They were very good, very thorough, online process with Teams/Zoom meeting to ensure our wishes would be correctly documented. Very good value for money and a robust will as a result. You can do your Lasting Power of Attorneys online on gov.uk. |

Just at the back of the building is an elevator that takes you to the roof for a small charge. Really good views on top. |
 | Forum Reply | Power of Attorney at 09:04 10 Sep 2024
Yes! Set up a Power of Attorney before you need it. It is easy to do yourself online on Gov.uk. You need to know who is going to fulfil certain roles, but the form is simple once you have sorted that. Costs about £80 per PoA and you need one for Finance and one for Health/Care. I got mine and the wife’s sorted recently without the need for a fee-charging 3rd party. I also did will update recently, but used a 3rd party for that element! (Coop Legal services who were very thorough but worth the money). |
 | Forum Reply | Pensions Ombudsman at 08:40 12 Jul 2024
£100 compensation is typically given as 'yes, we could have done better, but you haven't been materially affected, sorry for the hassle of submitting a complaint'. However, if you feel that is insufficient and wish to decline the £100, you can take it the Financial Ombudsman. Extra time and effort will be required for the provider to justify the £100 offered to the Ombudsman and it is always avoided if possible. If an Intermediary is involved there is a cost to them and if the organisation is large they kind of pay a quarterly advance fee based on expected cases. Free to the consumer. Fin Ombudsman decision is final. |

They called me a couple of weeks ago as they were checking the name to put in the book. I did think at the time that they weren’t going to be produced in time for the end of June ETA. |
 | Forum Reply | Anyone used an eSim? at 07:59 10 Jun 2024
Just set up an account with Airalo ready for a 3 week trip in August. Really easy to understand and set up. Getting the SIM settings right when landing is important so calls can be received via WhatsApp etc for existing mobile number, but not as an international call. That is for data only rather than providing a new number. If she needs a US number probably best to get a proper SIM when there. Plenty on YouTube to assist. |
 | Forum Reply | Bold decision to annoy the highest paying ST holders isn’t it at 09:09 4 Jun 2024
Block X in SAR Upper is being changed to accommodate extra premium seats. It now seems the extra seats were for Block D season ticket holders. The view will be very different for them and I am sure they will only be paying the Block X price rather than their Block D price. They are putting two extra rows into the existing Block X footprint therefore reducing the legroom for those existing Block X season ticket holders. |
 | Forum Reply | Cobbold Stand - D Block at 08:49 2 Jun 2024
They are remodelling the whole zone. The legroom will reduce from current 104cm to 70cm - ticket office advised that. They cannot confirm whether the armrests will be retained. To assist in relocating the 750 displaced season ticket holders. At least we are not being moved to a whole new area. I am sure we will make a judgement call on it during the season and decide whether we wish to stay in Block X or move for a lower price. |
 | Forum Reply | Cobbold Stand - D Block at 20:27 1 Jun 2024
The 4 premium rows were A to D. The next row behind D is G. They are not moving. Just 2 extra rows inserted within the current 4. The ‘premium’ element is definitely reduced through the reduced legroom. It will be roughly the same as a normal row going forward in terms of legroom. Still get the padded seat, programme, hot drink voucher. But as you say the value for money will be somewhat less now when compared with a seat elsewhere. I expect I will move come 2025/26 renewal. |
