I went on holiday in the summer and got chatting to a Derby season ticket holder and I had to pick him of the floor when I told him Jewell was our manager. He reckons he was was by far the worst manager that they had ever had and would guarantee he would get us relegated. I obviously disagreed, as I thought he had done ok last season but I am afraid that the man from Derby looks like he is going to be right unless ME has the b@lls to do something about it - QUICKLY!!!
Clegg and ME have to take the blame as they have opted to appoint two high risk managers (Keane and Jewel). Both of them had questionable careers as manager before joining the Town and both had been out of management for a while. Why can't we do what other clubs do i.e. Southampton or Norwich and find up and coming managers? or failing that go for a safe bet like West Ham.
I have nothing against Jewel but I will be surprised if he will be able to turn this round and I think the pressure is starting to show. The next appointment is so important and I am not sure Clegg has a clue what a good manager is!
