 | News Comment | Brentford Linked With McKenna Move Should Frank Depart For Spurs at 16:55:19
McKenna is a Novice at PL level, and showed it numerous times last season. Frankly, I doubt he'd last a season at Brentford, and would have a different kind of support he has at Town. Plus, ironically, his stock will increase if he stays and shows loyalty, as opposed to go fail again in the PL... Still, such is the money at that level, one manager job and he could be set up for life, even if he fails, if he fancies that ;) |
 | News Comment | Philogene at Town For Medical at 13:58:06
My understanding from memory (so please correct me if you can) is that the basis of FFP is a club can make an average loss of £130m per year over a 3 year period. And many clubs have seemingly broken that rule and not (yet) been punished. |
 | News Comment | Blues Off Top After Leicester Win at 17:38:24
Right now, all level on games played, we’re in an incredible position… not only would we have took this at the start of the season, we’d have took it 4 games ago… still all in our hands. Just do better than Leeds, and in doing so we wont have to worry about Southampton. COYBsss!!!!! |
 | News Comment | Jewell: Point Gained at 10:13:38
Time and time again we hear Jewell with such low expectations and beliefs, and this is clearly contaminating the psychology at the club. So many times he says the team is not good enough, blah blah blah. He should be telling the players they are GOOD ENOUGH, and instilling that self belief. Except, he himself doesnt seem to have it, just hanging on til he's sacked. Boring boring interviews, inept tactics, doesnt seem to be instilling any fight or belief in the team. Work manager Ipswich have EVER had. Tell you what, Mr Evans, if this is how you run your businesses I am surprised you have any clients! You own the football club, it reflects on YOU and YOUR BUSINESS. SORT IT OUT! |
 | News Comment | Boro to Cover Travelling Fans' Shortfall at 11:59:26
If the club has already told Boro they have to pay 50%, then its pretty unlikely town fans will be told anything different. If they wont do a freebie, then I'd like to see them offer 50% off the rearranged game plus another saturday home game... |
 | News Comment | Jewell Watches Pompey Trio In Action - Updated at 17:49:03
Listening to Ray Crawford on BBC Radio Suffolk today, he really rates these guys, reckon they are the cream of their side, none of them want to leave Pompey... So I rate our chances at just above zilch. |
 | News Comment | Wright Rejoins Town For Third Spell at 18:58:20
Let me tell ya, Wrighty is on absolute peanuts unless he plays, and you could have much worse backup keepers. I think, all things considered, this is an excellent signing. But yes, I agree with others, wear is the "growth of club" policy? Developing and building a team...? |
 | News Comment | Jewell: We Concede When We Come Under Pressure at 18:06:41
ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz When will the new kids on the block (Even et al) realise you have to BUILD success. Just as Sir Bobby and Mr Burley did before, we need to be building a team that has been playing together for 2-3 years by the time its gets promoted. Jeez.... Back to the drawing board! |
 | News Comment | Sunderland First to Make Wickham Bid at 08:38:28
People need to be realistic about this! This guy is unproven, even at Championship Level, in my opinion. The Championship Top Scorer went for £3.5m ! Who would pay 10 or 12 mil for Connor on that basis? Sure he PROBABLY has a great future, but any fee will surely be based heavily on appearances and various other milestones. I'd be happy to see him go for as little as £6m if there were various add-ons that meant that could rise to £10m, with a decent sell-on clause. |

 | News Comment | Press Conference This Morning at 09:49:08
Jewell has a wealth of experience, both of sucess and failure, and I am sure after his break from management will come in refreshed and will apply all he has learnt from those past sucesses and failures. I'd love to see us groom a young manager for a 10 year tenure of sucess, but the game is a different business now compared with even Burley's time here. I hope we can all now put aside our pessimism and fears and get behind the new manager, whomever he is. Personally, I'd rather have someone who has the experience of both sucess and failure than a complete rookie. So if it is Jewell, whatever reservations we may have, lets welcome him and show him he has the full support of us as Town fans. |
