Hirst's worst enemy is Hirst, asking for the "9" shirt just heaps pressure on him and a fair bit of responsibility, his strike rate over the years has never been great and that is what a lot of fans judge any player on.
We need him to come good, it's in our best interests but he does need to "up it" a bit based on last couple of performances. I think he will start tonight but another below par showing certainly won't help his cause. So come on George bag a goal tonight and have a good performance. |

I have never understood the love in for Woolfy, how many managers is it now that didn't really see him as a mainstay in the side ?
he has always been at best an average and very limited defender, how many times have we seen that bone crunching tackle on an attacker, or that bullet header in the opponents box, or that heroic last ditch block or header away in our own box ? Not very often over the years.
For me he is way too laid back, pedestrian and safe, never finds that telling pass, always safe and tippy tappy sideways balls, never takes responsibility, we all know only too well how guilty he is of letting the ball bounce in ridiculous areas only to get caught out and punished.
I naturally wish him nothing but the best but I am not sad or sorry that he has gone, I suspect if he wasn't a local lad not many on here would feel that sorry either, despite what is written. |

supported them for around 52 years from when I was 10, sent a letter to the then programme editor David McGregor who replied with some complimentary programmes which I then proceeded to collect until I had every One ever produced, sadly they stopped producing a programme some seasons back.
David became a bit of a pen friend, I met him when I went up to Station park back in the early Eighties for a game against Clyde which we won 4-2.
Forfar are definitely in my Blood and have seen some great times including cup semi finals, promotions etc etc. |

I really don't think we can keep going with Hirst much longer, his form has been very poor, we need an injection of flair from someone else.
I would love to see Akpom in for Szmodics, Azon in for Hirst and hopefully we can squeeze Egeli in there somewhere at some point too. |
