Not a good start from our new manager, no real excitement coming into the play, two talented players left, dribs drabs and hopefuls coming in, looks like its going to be a long hard season. Oh for the good old days of last season ;-) |

I was at the U23 game the last Monday at PR when we lost 2-0 to Huddesfield Town. Williams played the full 90 minutes and was poor, no zip, poor passing, none of the attacking flair from previous loan spells, he just did not look fit. So based on Monday's performance you would not have played him. Same for Leon Best. Best player on Monday was Myles Kenlock .... |

Blue Cobbler - lovely piece, setting a damming picture of the social media age where tweets, postings and phone-ins are seen to be the voice of the people. Don't be put off by such miserable ramblings, I bet most of us were jumping around in joy last night - I was pacing up and down my decking listening to the final minutes on the radio, howling when it sounded like they scored and screaming down the Fynn Valley when the final whistle blew. I was lucky enough to see us beat Real Madrid, Barcelona, the Milans, - anything anyone could throw at us, but last night's feeling was almost as good as watching us beat Man U 6-1! |

Delia - i think of myself as full-time comedian, but most of my family seem to share your view - about as part -time as our flashes of flowing football. 25000 at Norwich, 15000 at Preston, enough said |
 | News Comment | Villa Game All-Ticket at 13:11:52
you got that wrong again Delia, thus is great commercial acumen, as by making it all-ticket, those part time supporters who turn up on a whim when we are top of the league or the scum are visiting will buy tickets beforehand. Also others will see that and think a full stadium, good crowd I might miss out on something and also go and buy a ticket. |

Milkout - to be clear, Sam is a great lad, when I have spoken to him in the past he has always been polite and respectful and I know the lads in my teams have loved the battle against him - but I just dont think he is ready for the professional game. |

Kelly - that St John's team was full of the top players for their age in the Ipswich and Felixstowe area who were not involved in the academy. It was not difficult playing for them and not difficult to score. I am sorry we seem to settle for moderation not the best - look at Luke Hyam our current 'he's one of our own'. He couldn't make a pass allnight on Tuesday and whilst he has improved over the last two years, he is at best a League 1 level. The 5 that have been offered scholarships are all skillful exciting players and fully deserve the next chance |

Saw him playing fromt he age of 11 variously for Felixstowe / Trimley then watched him a few times in U18 and the u21 match he played. Not good enough, too slow, no skill, looks lazy. Probably the latter point putting off MM. |
 | News Comment | Grays Striker Linked at 16:58:33
We need cover for Murphy - none of the other strikers provide that big strong physical presence which is a key option at all levels of football in England. At 21 he is young enough to develop, and by next season Murphy will be starting to get over the hill. |
