I'm not sure we could compete on wages in the same vein that Leeds/others could, especially with their parachute payments.

Colby Bishop - decent player but i think we can do better, he is younger than Moore at 27 vs 31, but Moore has the championship experience i think we need.

We need two strikers as neither Jackson/Ladapo will cut it (i personally think Ladapo will go), one in the shape of one for the future/next year and another to get the next 6 months done.

I'd like both jay stansfield and moore, losing ladapo.

I know we will try and stay within the FFP constraints, but i'm not convinced we will get a better chance of promotion in the next 1-2 years.

I think we would accept it given the profit we would be making, would be handy to have this cash considering the FFP constraints. Its worth noting Djed Spence sold to Spurs for £15.8m up to £20m, Leif's output at both level's is considerably better/they are a similar age so you would think it would be closer to £20m.

Leif Davis, Aaron Cresswell or Tyrone Mings?

There are two other ex town players playing in that team (Ebbsfleet Utd)! Can someone name them? No peaking online!

One is ex Spurs and one ex Reading.

It's going to be Cathcart isn''t it?

Another one gone - Jonathan Panzo, left footed CB, left for Cardiff our weekend opponents.
Whoever we sign (as we do need another CB) i hope has been one we've been working on a while and takes us by surprise.

A decent window none the less but could be a solid 8/10 if we bring in a regular CB. A lot of games to play this season and too many emergency centre halves (who could get injured playing out of position).

Interesting but why were you speaking to the club doctor? How did that come about?

Barnsley are on the march…..

Form table doesn't lie, last 6 and 10:

Having said that I actually think the draw with Burnley last weekend will act as proof that we shouldn't be fearing any team in this division. If we apply the same defensive focus/approach to our remaining league one games, then we should keep up pace with the top 2 spots.

The best and worst bit about the summer window is the amount of rumours and speculation, and as fans there's never the right balance as its either quiet for a few days so someone creates these rumours or its crazy and we're linked to everyone and their nan!

Did anyone truly see John-Jules or Greg Leigh days/weeks in advance? What we can safely say with the new regime, is that there will be thought going into each new addition so that it benefits the team as a whole.

Gaming consoles.....
at 10:53 21 Apr 2022

I was always a loyal PlayStation man having grow up initially with Sega and then PS1, 2 3 etc i have a PS4 pro and its decent, looks great on the TV and it has some brilliant games however as I've got older I've found myself becoming a bit bored of the complex/100 hour single player games, regular console updates, its just a bit of a faff at times and therefore I'm not sure I'll ever get a PS5.

I therefore bought a Switch in lockdown and tbh my PS4 rarely gets a look in now. The fact its portable, quick, you can play it for 20mins and the next day pick up where you left off...its very impressive.

Zelda is a must have, its one of my top 5 games of all time. If you like platformers its got loads, it has remakes, good Nintendo games, if you get it online (for a price) you can download a lot of classic snes/megadrive games for free and plenty for the kids to enjoy. I'd highly recommend it.

The league table looked a lot better this time last week…
at 11:03 2 Feb 2022

It's not just looking up the table but also the teams around us. Bolton worry me, done the double over us and won four on the bounce now, seem to be going from strength to strength. Its obvious but we need an unbeaten run of 6-8 games to really make ground, it's certainly not over but the MK and Burton games are biggies! Gillingham/Doncaster are must wins, big wins to build confidence and send out messages

Agreed not a bad defender, makes you wonder what Webster would go for now.

Good news for ex Ipswich Matt Clarke, one less defender in his way at Brighton and appears to be doing well on loan at West Brom.

My initial reaction was Colin Healy!? Then I realised we had a Matt Healy!
Good experience for them, has to be better than U23s.
