I don't understand why they couldn't have given those tickets to Nottingham Forest - surely they'd have another 5,000 fans who would want to go. Or just put them on general sale as a neutral area. |

If that’s the reason, shouldn’t concessions instead be based on the number of years you’ve had a season ticket? |

In previous seasons when this has happened, there were only seven teams in Europe so they needed to get an extra team into the third round, hence the bye. That can’t happen this season due to the extra Champions League place for England - if it’s an odd number (or any number more than 8), they’ll have the opposite problem of needing to get fewer teams into the third round. |

'If Town finish 18th in the Premier League, then they would get a bye from round one of the Carabao Cup if an odd number of teams qualify for European competition.' I don't think this is possible. It's guaranteed that at least eight English clubs will be in Europe next season. If nine clubs qualify: - You'd need 23 teams to get through to the third round, to make it up to 32 in total with the nine 2025/26 Premiership clubs in Europe. - So, you'd need 46 teams to be in the second round. If 18th in the 2024/25 Premiership + 11 other 2025/26 Premiership enter at that stage, that only leaves space for 34 qualifiers from the first round. - That means only 68 teams can enter the first round, three short of the total needed. I'd assume instead that: - 2nd and playoff winner in the 2024/25 Championship would have to enter the first round. That's 74 teams in total, giving 37 match winners. - In the second round, those 37 match winners get added to the nine remaining Premiership teams not in Europe. 46 total = 23 winners. - In the third round, those 23 get added to the nine in the Premiership who are playing in Europe, giving 32 total. Obviously not, but they’re not going to start selling away tickets before that’s confirmed. |

But the ‘going rate’ wouldn’t be fair at all, as the vast majority of home fans have the benefit of lower ticket prices per game through having season tickets. The away price cap just sets some level of equalisation with that for regular away fans, as well as preventing them from being charged the mad matchday prices that some Premier League clubs set to capture tourists. |

That’s at the side of the pitch so a higher price zone. Home tickets start at £20 for members in the cheapest areas. |

897 left but they haven't put all the seats on sale yet. Block Y1 and about half of Block X2 still haven't been opened. |

The price for home fans is £23-30 depending on the area, but they’re also giving their fans a £3 member/season ticket holder discount, which presumably we’re not getting. It still doesn’t seem right though. A lot of our tickets are in the Bridgford lower tier corner which, in their usual seating plan, is the zone 4 cheapest price category, so should be £23 even without the member discount: I’ll console myself with the fact that I paid considerably less than every single home fan for the league game. |
 | Forum Reply | If the Welsh based clubs playing in the english leagues... at 12:19 13 Jan 2025
But English clubs who won the Welsh Cup were never allowed to represent Wales in UEFA competitions, which is the whole point of Cardiff etc. wanting to enter. The highest finishing Welsh club would take the Cup Winners Cup spot instead. Frankly, if they chucked youth teams in and entered on the same basis of not being allowed European qualification then I wouldn’t be all that bothered. But wanting to have their cake and eat it gives Cardiff etc. an unfair route to additional prize money, exposure and way to attract talent that isn’t open to their league competitors. |

When I bought home tickets for a Fulham match a couple of years ago, I’m pretty sure that I had to log in and print them from my online account and they weren’t emailed to me at all. |
