I read the Fourth Protocol after the movie had some footage on , around and under the Orwell Bridge, a good read and as often used to be the case, better than the film. Will take a look at the Town Fans books, love to keep it 'local' Actually, reminds me there was someone published a book about a player who made good. Sort of footballer-cum-detective as I vaguely recall?? Its a while back, not sure if it was ever followed up. Decent read, but quite a few year ago. The link was on here to it, will have to try a re-find that.. |

Bob Mortimers Biog is hilarious, does keep making you wonder how much bizarre stuff he finds himself involved in.. Not tried his own work though. cheers |

I met Danny Baker and thought I really liked him, but sadly he proved to be a bit of a nob. Loved the Rum diary, read that while in Jamaica alongside Ian Flemming - James Bond books. Good shout with Cass. Read Chris Camara's book a few weeks ago, good but 'difficult' read, would recommend, such a lovely guy |

Its getting close to the summer holiday season and looking at Kindle based reading. My preferences are: Rock Music Biog./AutoBiog, Sports (particularly football or Boxing) Biog/AutoBiog Interesting people Biog/AutoBiog (more like world figures than Love Islanders or so called 'influencers') Gangster/Underworld type true accounts Special Forces / Military type reading Stories (Fiction/Non-Fiction) based on the Caribbean Looking for any suggestion recommendation and feel free to add any of your own requests in here... Never been that taken with Honey & Harvey if I'm honest. Its not just the premium pricing, just not a big fan of their coffee. As the two previous have mentioned, Pickwick and Applaud are very good, also quite like 'on the huh' too |

We probably will go back at some point, but have the mindset that the world is a big place and lots on the list to visit. Malta and Rhodes were both great too |

We still keep tabs on the hotel on a Facebook page. Think it struggled a little post Covid but seems to be nearly back where it was. There had been renovation by 2019 as I recall. We had the best holiday ever there IMO, food, people, pace of life, never really felt unsafe but we were guided most the time. The beach is the best I have been to anywhere in the world, and the sunsets are utterly mesmerising. We had brilliant trips and nothing was a let down in my opinion. Costa Rica runs its a close second though, but for very different reasons, very different holiday. |

Yes, when I mentioned it to the taxi guy he had never even heard of it despite being there since birth for 40+ years! |

Been to Riu Palace Tropical Bay in Negril Fantastic holiday. Fantastic Place. Fantastic People. Amazing Beach by that hotel. Best sunsets I have seen anywhere in the world! Definitely go for a Private Transfer from the Airport if you can. (If you are heading to Negril) Ricks Cafe - guess you have to do it, but expensive and wouldn't need a second visit IMO Pelican Bar - Fantastic, one of the best days of my life, just the coolest trip and amazing place. It was starting to become a bit commercialised (I went there in 2019) Dunn's River Falls and Park - brilliant place, great trip Catamaran - Snorkelling etc pretty decent Blue Mountain Coffee Plantain - we combined this with the Bob Marley Museum in Montego Bay, Brilliant trip but hours of travelling. (BTW the roads and driving can be terrifying.) Brian at Easy Breezy tours is fantastic, would recommend him, great company for Private transfer and trips Happy to answer any questions, but as mentioned, I went in 2019 so a few changes since then. |
