Wolfy - it's not a terrible deal at all.
Could we get more ? Yeah, probably but no one thought he would be worth 30m in a years time. When he signed, most of us thought he was going to be a second striker .
We doubled the fee and got him for a season .
Blueboy, it's ok to criticise at times but you do it ALL the time and most of the time it's totally unjustified. |

People really expect him to drop down again when he could be playing in Europe next year ! Best of luck to him . I hope he goes onto great things. Those saying it could have waited i think it's probably because of the two transfer windows this year . The sooner we get it done it gives us more time and money to replace him. |

I'm really happy to have Hirst up front next year if LD departs as expected. He has shown he's up to it in his opportunities this year and with Clarke, Philogene, Chappers, Burns, Ogbene, Broadhead . Just need to get another striker to back him up.
Defence and keepers are all top Championship level unless we lose any of them. Another centre mid and we will be flying .
Thoroughly deserved that point today, Town fans were loud all game . We will be back. |

That side just knocked Real Madrid out of the Champions League 5-1 on aggregate and you're expecting a squad inc several players who were in League 1 two years ago to match that ? Mick Mills gave a very sensible appraisal after the game . I'll go with him rather than some empty heads on here.

Bluebullet that's the most ridiculous comment . How often has a team gone from.League 1 to the Prem in 2 years ! Of course we got promoted ahead of schedule. Our whole club has come on leaps and bounds in the last two years . Fortunately the majority of supporters can see all this and are supporting the team brilliantly.. Carberry this squad of players and staff have been brilliant over the last two and a half years . We got promoted ahead of schedule , playing great football . With half a squad of players we had in League 1 we are now in the toughest league in the world .I certainly didn't expect anything from those two games but that doesn't mean I wasn't hoping or wasn't disappointed. I would argue that defeat in those two games wasn't failure at all . They were free hits . We should have beaten Southampton , no argument but it wasn't down to lack of effort . People saying there was no fight are talking crap .Surely u realised we were going to be in a relegation fight ? We are . If we stay up it would be a huge achievement. People booing yesterday should be embarrassed. |
