 | News Comment | Edwards Linked With Wigan Move at 10:59:03
I think there's a decent player in him somewhere. But if he doesn't want to be part of this new era, then good luck to him. We both move on. |
 | News Comment | Ward: We Have to Be Really Positive and Believe We Can Make Play-Offs at 11:12:12
In a way I feel sorry for the players that are on press duty, because they probably get pre cooked drivel on a piece of paper and then have to serve it up. You can say a lot of things of the players we have right now, I sure don't believe that there is much quality around. But I am convinced they are well aware of the fact that this team can't score goals and that it therefore means you're nowhere near a promotion push. Sad really. |
 | News Comment | Cook: Gary's Disappointed With the Quality of Player We Have in the Building at 10:25:21
I don't know if I should smile or shed a tear after reading this. So I'll do both. The tear is for the sorry state our beloved club is in. The smile is for hope. Hope because now that someone finally tells it like it is and speaks about that bar that needs to be raised, and a lot too for that matter. Cue a couple of painful weeks and an interesting summer... |
 | News Comment | Former Winger Roberts Confirmed as Coach at 14:03:53
Fun fact: if we keep this tactic up of derailing our next opponent by appointing a playing member of their squad in a coaching rol at ITFC, Paul Cook will have a 17 men strong herd of first team coaches by the end of the season! I'll get my coat and show myself the door now... |
 | News Comment | Hurst: No Guarantee Waghorn Still at Town on Opening Day at 09:30:48
Don't get me wrong, I want Waghorn in the starting 11 come opening day of the season, he's proven his quality has he not? But if the big spenders come in and splash 5 million or more, Hurst will see his chance. If Waghorn does leave, I expect Hurst to be after at least two forward players and three defensive players. Evans should hand Hurst the 5 million, and I'm pretty confident that Hurst will want to "put his stamp on the squad" by getting the League 1 gems that he already has in mind. |
 | News Comment | Skipper Chambers Signs New Deal at 10:54:48
He has been an asset to our club, this new deal is both good news and a reward for him. I just hope that Chambers is not our first choice on RB come the new season. Because he isn't one. Having said that, I do like the prospect of Chambers and Smith battling it out for the right sided place in central defense, or them both playing in a 3 CB defense. |
 | News Comment | Town Among Clubs Eyeing Southend Midfielder at 09:40:48
My favorite Dutch and my favorite English club after the same player. Now there's a first. And a dilemma. I'll leave it up to Jack. Choose wisely my son.... ;-) |
 | News Comment | Town 0-1 FC Utrecht - Half-Time at 16:19:41
Ruiter and Haller certainly have qualities that can take them to a higher level of football than Utrecht, no disrespect. Too bad they are showing it today. |
 | News Comment | Town Face FC Utrecht in Home Friendly at 18:07:27
Should be a interesting to see... However last season FC Utrecht didn't really meet expectations, a French forward by the name Haller sort of saved the season with 10 goals in 15 games. He joined FC Utrecht on loan during the winter break and signed a permanent contract after the season. Apart from this guy, I'd say only goalkeeper Ruiter is real quality. The rest of the team are capable enough players, but really rely on being a team rather than their individual class. |

This kid plays proper football... Academy product... Very pleased indeed about this. Well deserved Teddy! |
 | News Comment | Campbell Set to Go Back to QPR But McCarthy Hoping He'll Return at 15:54:10
Although this was inevitable, it still gives me this feeling of disappointment. It means that Harry has told DJ he wants him back at the club. And that means that it's going to be a long month of January without DJ, 'cause QPR will have a busy transfer window I reckon. Just had a quick look round the QPR fansite forum, and it ain't a pretty sound you're hearing there about the current squad. Fans don't manage a club, but my guess: a couple of players out, a couple of players in, and DJ going nowhere until the strike force up front is up to Harry's standards. Only then and not before we are in with a shout of signing him up. Still hopeful on signing him up, but the in the next few weeks, it'll probably be up to Chopra/Murphy. No disrespect to Chopra, but DJ has been on fire! |
 | News Comment | Ebanks-Blake Plays Down Town Links at 11:56:04
Quote: “Anyone could write those stories any day of the week without even speaking to the managers. There's nothing in them as far as I know." As far as I know? In fact what SEB says here, is that his agent might well be looking around to find him a new club. Which is perfectly normal, knowing that you only have a couple of months of your contract remaining. If Wolves would have already told SEB that they want to sit down with him and have contract talks, I'd say he would have answered this question differently. Then again, I might be looking for clues that aren't there.... :-) -=ITFC4EVER=- |
 | News Comment | McCarthy's Return to Molineux Special at 20:09:25
It's unreal.... The way Miracle Mick has turned things around, and not just a little bit, is beyond anything I thought was possible. I really like to see the new year providing us with a little surprise, being DJ deciding that this is the club to be. Imagine that. While on the subject, any thoughts on Chopra? As a sub, he's not scoring many goals in the 15 or so minutes he's given in a match nowadays. But still he pops up in the right places, just not sharp or lucky or both. Not that long ago, he was the 25 goals a season man... Should he replace DJ is he was to go back to QPR? Just wondering... |
 | News Comment | McCarthy Still Keeping Feet On Ground at 10:01:55
@BossMan, totally agree. MM so far is nothing short of a miracle. If I only think back to what the table looked like 11 matches ago.... He is right to speak out about keeping his feet on the ground with 22 matches to go. But as TWTD shows in the form table over the last 11 matches, he really has something to be proud of: http://www.twtd.co.uk/league-tables/competition:championship/form/matches:11/typ On the DJ subject, with QPR interested on all kinds of striker names (Demba Ba, Anelka, Keane a little while ago), I still think that DJ isn't going back there. However, even if he doesn't, with these goal scoring statistics we should be aware that he has many options at the end of his Ipswich loan spell. Let's just hope. -=ITFC4EVER=- |
 | News Comment | McCarthy Delighted With Hard-Fought Win at 10:04:13
I was fortunate enough to be at Portman Road yesterday, really enjoyed watching this one. I only get to see 3 or so matches live each season, not bad timing to pick this match! Bit lucky not to be 1 goal down after 20 minutes or so, but after that... Impressive. Dominating. Is this the team that was 4 points adrift at the bottom a couple of weeks ago? MM has worked wonders... Well done! On DJ Campbell, mr. Redknapp is keen on bringing Keane back from the US. Sure hope this improves chances of DJ staying at Town. -= ITFC4Ever=- |
 | News Comment | Town Unchanged at Watford at 21:46:20
An away win.... At Watford... Clean sheet... No subs needed... Dominating the game... Makes my day, well done lads!! -= ITFC4EVER =- |
