To be honest, I don't really eat a lot of fish.

If I do then I try and avoid farmed fish, but it's a fairly complex issue from an animal cruelty perspective.

My point here was purely about the information supplied to the consumer and the potential lack of it in this instance if true. But as often happens on here it is immediately turned into something else by some posters and the inference is that your concerns are religious and/or racist.

It's the main reason I rarely post on here, and I think I'll go back to "viewing only" again!

He may have well given facts about the number of plant pots in the local garden centre, it's just as relevant.

No animal should be subject to death, for human purposes, without being stunned first.

In this country over 30 million of them are each year, and I don't feel comfortable with that. If there is a possibility that the food I am eating is subject to this cruelty then I would want to be told beforehand so that I can make a choice.

I'm not sure why this is an issue.

The club aren't serving Kosher meat (if they are in this case) if they were then that would be the story, and it would need to be addressed.

Not sure why you are bringing that into it.

Kosher/Shechita meat is usually labelled as such.

Surely the issue here is whether people (particularly those that cannot eat it) are told that it is Halal.

This story isn't about Kosher food, if it was being served at the club without people knowing then the issue would be the same.

You are correct.

You don't know much about Halal.

The animals are slaughtered without being stunned (which is UK law) and bleed to death through having their throats cut. That alone is certainly not "treating the animal better"

As noted by others the practice also means that other religious groups are excluded from eating the meat.

IF the story is correct and the club is not telling people that the offering is "Halal" then they are entirely in the wrong and need to comment on the story ASAP to explain their thinking or debunk it.

I expect he'll go to Porto, or the PL.

We'll end up with the bloke from Derby, Ebou Adams.

Probably meant that we've known we were gonna give away our club captain for sod all, fail to get two of our defenders on new contracts and inevitably sell our two best attackers because of relegation release clauses.

"Down the line" for departures.

Player trading and all that.

Absolute comedy gold.

Half of them barely reached the goal, the Swedish keeper was nearly diving past them.

Although that last one has just landed in my back garden.

Oh well. We won.

Your point about the commentators is very true.

They always seem petrified to say anything negative about any player and totally exaggerate the very rare decent bits of play.

At least this "gangsta" girl at half time is telling it how it is.

Maybe he doesn't want to be a "mentor" or a "cheerleader"?

Maybe, just maybe, he wants what's best for him and he wants to start every week.

Anyone choosing to watch a women's football match, let alone one where the result is inevitable, over watching the current best club team in the world, obviously doesn't really like football.

£10m up front, plus £4m in top ups, for the 2nd highest scorer in the Championship doesn't sound like a lot to me.

Personally I think they should have got more, and maybe would have if it wasn't for his revolting disciplinary issues.

You're very negative aren't you?

Your posting history is simply a long list of you moaning about/putting a negative spin on pretty much every aspect of ITFC.

Why is that?
