The relief of achieving promotion is enough. Not having to worry about the lottery of the play-offs will make my holiday the week after next a lot more relaxing. If we go on to win the league if Plymouth slip up next week, great, but the main achievement is done. COYB!!!!! |
 | News Comment | Hurst: Both Goals Were Very Avoidable at 22:10:35
I agree that he does look out of his depth, but we've seen how he has worked in lower leagues successfully. Maybe we need to get someone in as a director of football in to mentor him at this level. I think George Burley would fit this bill and it would help bring confidence back to the squad. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-1 Aston Villa - Match Report at 00:32:53
What a great performance today. The ref truly had a shocker and seemed determined to penalise Town for every collision, even if it wasn't a foul. We looked positive and aside from a few minutes in the first half when we were lumping it up the pitch, the performance was great. I want to add that the crowd really helped the team in the second half, getting behind the team. My last game I made was Brentford away with the toxic McCarthy atmosphere, this made me proud to be a Town fan again. Onwards and upwards! |
 | News Comment | McCarthy: A Strange Feeling at 20:03:35
I'm waiting for a strange feeling next season. Something called a win. Even a ‘shot' would be nice. I hate to say it, but I get a sense of deja vu with the lack of shots and poor confidence. I'd like to say the fans can help, but there is only so much we can do from the sidelines, it's up to the man in charge to fix and MM Agassi's said he knows best so we should stay out of it. Clearly he doesn't know best and I'm glad he's going. On a personal note, the way he looked at me in Düsseldorf after the Fortuna friendly, I will forever hold him in the same disregard as I hold Glenn Hoddle. Onwards and upwards! |
 | News Comment | McCarthy: Second Goal a Killer Blow at 22:25:43
Having been all the way Sunderland and back today, I thought it was a poor performance. We got two goals against a poor Sunderland Sunderland side and that gave us a chance to rest on our laurels. Having said that, a win is a valuable 3 points and having taken the 3 away points to a side like Sunderland, I'm going to celebrate. |

Covehithe is pretty sandy from what I remember. Since Alan Ferguson left, the pitch hasn't been the same. Like the sound of a beer festival!!! |

Having grown up near Cambridge, Spurs and Arsenal were the local teams, but a love of Ipswich brought me and my best mate together at school. We are still best mates and did the European Tours together 10-years ago and try to get to a couple of away matches season, when time and money allow. Being in Scotland has been an excuse to tick off loads of places I'd have otherwise never been to; Peterhead, Ross County, Aberdeen, Caley Thistle and of course Elgin City. I'd say let the little fella have his choice, but instill the Ipswich values within him too. |

Maybe he's going to use it to set fire to Portman Road in some kind of insurance job that will give us more cash to buy players, or possibly line ME's pockets...? |
