I've tried to be supportive of the players. This is the one game I cannot give support for at all. Enciso had moments of quality, but Brighton fans warned us of his inability to pass 5 yards in front of him. Multiple times with Hutchinson, Enciso, Philogene, where we didn't make the blatantly obvious pass, this is a pattern that has been reoccurring for the past 2 months now. It feels like these players are far too selfish but don't have the quality Delap has to justify it. Broadhead knows how to do both. We took him off at 60. Why? We are too predictable. Watching us try and cross the ball, even score from a cross this season, is one of the most painful things I've had to watch this season. There was a moment when there was a player completely free out wide, and we opted against that pass. Frustrating is not a strong enough word for how I felt at that moment. Chaplin is sorely missed, Szmodics is also missed because he knows where the goal is. This not the Muric of last season, and Walton isn't good enough. I've tried my hardest to back Muric. I wanted to back Walton. Both have been disappointing beyond belief. Did we even Challenge Ramsdale in the second half? Why are we so poor in second halves at Portman Road? Then again, if Wolves don't win this evening, my confidence in finishing 17th stays as high as it is. Please sign a midfielder, though. Morsy isn't effective enough in this league and Phillips needs more help. |

We will stay up this season. We are more than able to. Muric is a good keeper, I will continue to defend this man. His #1 job, ESPECIALLY in the Premier League, is to stop the shots. His one-on-one saving ability is so much better than I thought it was. |

I cannot believe how many people forget just how much better Burnley were under Muric last season in the premier league when Trafford failed to impress. One or two mistakes absolutely shaped falsehoods about this guy. It worries me that people did not view his stats for last season. For context: He made 64 saves in 10 games. His PSxG GA is +6.7, which was the third best in the league, in 10 games! He's rivalling Martinez with those numbers. His shot stopping ability is brilliant. When he came in, Burnley only lost 4 of those 10 games. They may have stayed up if he was the #1 keeper instead of Trafford, even if I think Trafford has a bright future ahead. On his passing, Burnley fans did warn us that he is a heart attack when passing out from the back, but it's not like Hladky made a few mistakes himself last season doing the same thing. I have no real concerns. This news should obviously concern us, but we don't know the details yet, so nothing to say about it. |

Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this incredible achievment. Back where I believe we always belonged, and progressing towards our full potential. WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE!!! |

We've done this twice so far. Last season against Exeter, when we needed to win (even a draw would have been enough because of goal difference), and we were 5-0 up before half time. Then against Norwich, who we also battered in that first half and were unlucky not to be 4-0 up after 35 minutes. Regardless of the admittance of distraction, it has clearly given our players that edge for those first 30 minutes both times. As a result, I disagree with the majority opinion here. |

I am very confident in top two and this result has somehow left me unbothered, but that performance wasn't good enough today and we should not be afraid to acknowledge that. Here is why I'm optimistic; Hull away is THE away game we should win, they are worse at home than they are away and are currently on a poor run of form, similar to their end of season form last season. Our home games are likely to obtain the maximum points, our home form should see it through, Middlesbrough will be a very tough game. The coventry away game is a weekday game, Mckenna's unbeaten weekday form in league games should see at least a draw, it could end up being a miracle that it was moved from a Saturday game to a weekday. We really need to learn how to play football when the kickoff time is 12:30, though. |

Not surprised we are 2nd anymore, our form this year is not really surprising when we are playing this well and constantly improving every game. I've missed Ipswich in the championship, I love this league, even if promotion happens, I honestly think it will now, I'm just happy we get to see us play in this league again. |

Although that goal should never have been disallowed, it's nice to see points given back to us after that Barnsley game. The improvement since the Bristol Rovers game has been absolutely pivotal, and my mind is changed, I'm convinced we are winning the league. Today was almost a perfect performance in my opinion, they were not scoring any other way apart from that set piece. |

We had to win the last 4 games at least to keep the belief, anything less would have been utterly disappointing, even if our opposition have recently just kept allowing us to play to our strengths too easily (thus why I'm not getting carried away until after saturday if we win), that first goal where they forget where Jackson was made me cringe a little as a fan. Great to get another win, Luongo improves the game Morsy tries to play, and I am really excited by his current performances, it helps because I previously thought Morsy was not creative enough, but with Luongo next to him it just works, and his passes, and general attacking play, are more threatening. Broadhead has fantastic ball awareness in the box. Comfortable job for our defenders today. Donacien, those passes into the box, his biggest weakness. |

A quick second comment to state that I am also of the opinion that rotation is fine, Plymouth and Sheffield Wednesday have regularly rotated their teams and they are flying past us now. It's not the rotation, it's the mismanagement against teams that park the bus. The curse against the bigger teams has crawled back into its way as well now so that's fun to watch happen. |

You can't take Ladapo off and expect things to work! He was the only player today who I thought was trying his hardest to win the physical battle up top, and should have been given a penalty. I don't get it, why do we not change our tempo? Why is our passing so slow and timid? Why were we searching for through balls in the first half, with 4 players on the edge of their box almost at all times, if they were going to sit back and not move for the whole half? Even with the mild improvement in the second half, when we had our chances, our finishing was not good enough. Broadhead should have scored, and Clarke should have scored. Once again, our plan B is visible, but it doesn't produce results correctly. Ever since the 1-1 against Cheltenham, I foresaw our fall really early, but I was wrong — the problem is that our central midfielders are too slow, Humphreys, Morsy and Evans are not quick enough for the system we are trying to implement, and Morsy is not creative enough. We need a quicker Lee Evans. That 4-0 against Morecambe was a standard performance in my opinion, we didn't do anything differently, we just played against an opposition that was unfit to defend anything. This is what happens when we try anything against teams that sit back and soak up unthreatening pressure. I'm so tired of giving up a good league position midway through the season in this league, this is the 3rd time out of the 4 seasons that it has happened now. Until the start of this season, I never felt that Woolfenden was good enough for us, but when I thought he was playing well at that point, I had no reason to think otherwise, but I'm back to giving the opinion that he isn't alert enough in situations where anticipation is most necessary, and therefore not good enough for us. We need a better plan B. Cook's wasn't good enough, McKenna's isn't good enough. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 4-1 Rotherham United - Match Report at 17:41:03
Our problem was never the striker, our striker is fine, the problem was that we didn't have a suitable backup option there, and we didn't have quality competition in our wider CAMish players through Chaplin, Edwards, Harness etc. With current speculation, I hope we don't have that problem anymore. Today was what we are supposed to be, and are capable of producing in league 1, and we need more of this, not less. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-1 Cheltenham Town - Match Report at 17:30:41
We don't need a striker - it was not our problem today. Apart from Edwards, we need better CAMS/RWS because that is where most of our shooting came from in the box - Chaplin is not reliable against teams like this, and he was absolutely shocking today, and Harness was below average, Humphreys and Morsy had to come forward more to do their job for them and it started to leave a few gaps in our midfield near the end of the game because they got so tired. Jackson and Camara put their foot behind their knee when sliding in for the crosses coming in from the left side in the second half, both should have been goals, and jackson should have scored the third rebound after we missed the first 2 chances, that was the worst miss of the game. Ladapo was simply unlucky for me today, he isn't the problem and it's not his fault the goalkeeper managed to save his header. I also think we need a better defensive partnership, Edmundson and Woolfenden in the same back line is unreliable, and has a history of being unreliable, how many leads have we given away with them in the same team now? When Cheltenham had their only real attack, Edmundson was out of position, and Davis had to cover the center of the pitch, leaving that left side completely open for them to score a shot that Walton should have saved. I can not see a stop to any of this, and I think it's a lack of commitment when we are ahead, and we panic too easily when we realise our mistakes. |
