We’ve used this and strengthened well under Ashton but how on earth would we be able to do this again this season? There really don’t appear to be any weak links in the squad. Perhaps re visit the Uruguay CB?
My other thought is that we will target younger players to develop. |

It’s been discussed a lot on here last few seasons. The Cobbold ones are fine. Don’t arrive too late though as queues are terrible from around 30 mins pre match. |

He looked v good at Preston and will hopefully be even better with Cajuste/new signing in the team as well.
My only very slight criticism is that he doesn’t pick the ball up in advanced areas like Morsy did but overall he’s a good signing in my opinion. |

I’m totally the same. I sometimes wonder if I even like football now but love all things ITFC.
I probably sound like a miserable old got but struggle with the ‘double pivot’, ‘false 9’ modern day speak as well. |

Seems to play the left CB role quite a lot so you would think he would be replacing Greaves in the starting 11. |

Not a name I knew about until the weekend when he was on the bench. Just saw a clip of him on the recent Town TV training video and looked quite skilful. Is he one that has a chance with us? |

Looks like he’s previously been linked with Spurs, Man Utd, Arsenal, Barca and Napoli.
Would be an ambitious signing that’s for sure. Unless Phil was on the pop yesterday afternoon. |

McKennas comments about their pre-season (or lack of) doesn’t install much confidence of seeing them this week either.

Assuming Akpom and Cajuste sign that will be 6 arrivals this window.
Realistically only Cajuste would be one we could make profit on in the future.
It makes me think that 1 or 2 more signings will be youngsters to fit the player trading model that Ashton talks so frequently about. |
