 | News Comment | McKenna: More Than Likely Town Will Be in the Championship Next Season at 12:09:17
Agree with all the posts here saying that purchasing young players was all about the future, not this season. It was a free hit this year to learn (both for players and manager). If we can keep hold of the best of them, they'll learn even more with a season in the Champ and come back stronger. Using the Premier League money to build a squad for the next 5 years was good business. Yes, we'll lose Delap but so be it. As long as we throw Muric in for free then that's all good. Smodzic is more than good enough to lead the line next season. |

Interesting that the BBC highlights showed yet another dodgy Muric pass out from the back. Luckily he got away with it this time but it needs to stop. Walton back for the next Prem game please. |
 | News Comment | Ashton: We’re a Fair Way Down the Line On a New Sponsor at 15:50:12
All of this sounds 100% positive. For me though the biggest thing is the massive two fingers up to gambling. Such a positive message from a Football club to say "We don't want your money". Let's hope to a sponsor that aligns with the values of this fantastic family club. |

Gambling is simply toxic. Not necessarily the gaming companies (they could of course do a much better job at preventing problems) but the links with organised crime, loan sharks etc just creates so many problems for so many people. I'd love to see more clubs take a proper stand and just say No to any and all links with gambling. The FA need to do more too (calling the whole League the SkyBet league needs to stop). But, as always, money talks... |
 | News Comment | McKenna Happy With Squad Balance Despite No Deadline Day Signing at 10:40:42
Can't help but wonder if we've got enough in defence.. Early days of course and some individual errors cost us goals in the first 2 games. I always back us to score but, unfortunately, I always assume we're going to concede. Scoring more than the opposition may be a viable tactic in League 1 and the Championship but I'm not sure it will work in this league. Defensive cover may be the focus in Jan. In KM we trust though! |

It may just be me, but we're signing a lot of forwards.. Do we have enough cover at the back / defensive midfield? I know we've only played Liv & City so far, shipped 6 goals, but it does worry me a little. We're not going to be able to get away with just scoring more than the opposition in this league. We need to keep clean sheets. I'll keep trusting in KM and the method but I'm a little uneasy. Clean sheet this weekend please boys! |
 | News Comment | McKenna Deal Now Set to Be Confirmed Thursday at 12:09:04
First bit of business once this is done.. "Chelsea have to raise funds through players sales before 30 June to comply with Premier League profit and sustainability rules." From The S*n so not sure how true it may be.. |

If there are any OpenReach engineers here, feel free to disconnect every phone line and mobile mast around the Portman Road area. Don't deliver any printer toner. Whatever it takes to stop him leaving. |
 | News Comment | Ashton: Over the Next Few Weeks Portman Road is Going to Be a Building Site at 10:13:53
Wow. You can see why it's so difficult for promoted clubs to compete. All of this work, cost and potential chaos before you can even think about improving the squad and being ready for kick off. No wonder Luton found it so difficult in the early months! Looks like we're in safe hands though. COYB. |

Loving the fact that his wife is the Pink Power Ranger in the movie coming out this year. I can see some good 'bants' on the training field. Best of luck Jordan! Now, how about a striker..? |
