In some respects it's better to get relegated like this rather than be relegated on goal difference at the end of the season.
I still feel we really need to fight hard to ensure 3rd from bottom place though. Vital we get that both for money and also because of the Man City 115 charges thing. |

As long as they don't scrape the play offs I really don't care.
They've retained some good players so should be there or thereabouts next season also (unless they go on a selling spree).
If they decline, think it'll be really gradual. |

Hladky= very good GK.
Overall; think this first XI would struggle in the Championship. Main issue is the lack of combative midfield players. |

Honestly think we will be a top 6 side in the championship, not a top 2. Our midfield in particular is going to be much weaker, and many of our seasoned professionals will move on (as will Delap). Can't believe how poorly we've played at times this season. That second half against Man Utd? Another level. |

Agree. I think we will be strong next season in the championship. I can see us getting promoted next year and making a better effort to stay up in 26/27 season.
We do need to get used to the idea though that Delap will leave us. Recruitment team seems to know what works in the Championship so I'm sure a couple of suitable strikers will come in. |

He's not had a great start. I have no doubt though that we will have a side that can strongly compete for promotion next season. Premiership and Championship are worlds apart. |

Feel our only real hope is if another team gets a heavy points deduction at this point. If we were battling for third from bottom, I'd say we are still in it. |

Think much of this relates to the rise of Fairweather fans. Anyone who remembers our shocking cup exits or the way we used to play in League 1 has no real issues with where we are today.
As I've said in previous posts, McKenna, staff and club have done a brilliant job. 95% of our signings have made a very positive impact. We are still now in touching distance of escape. Sadly, I don't think we will make it (the Southampton game really was a must win), but it has been a good learning experience for us. I fully expect us to be top six (at least) in the Championship next season and I don't think we will do a Luton. |

When I was looking at potential players for this...I had no idea Danny Haynes played 128 times for us across all competitions. I'm not nominating him for this...but thought it'd be like 30 times... |

If we end up relegated he'd be the perfect player to help us bounce straight back up. Can only imagine they've offered a significant sum of money. |
