Free school meals hypocrisy

Hi, I personally believe children should be given free meals during the school holidays. As stated in the UNCRC Article 24 states that children have the right to clean water and nutritious food and that the government should support families who are unable to do this, hence why schools provide free school meals during the holidays. If free meals weren't to be offered to children during the holidays this would simply be denying the child this right. It would also result in children going hungry and some cases potentially starving to death. The government are trying to tackle and support those families and their children who are disadvantaged and on low income paying jobs.
