Any one with half a football brain will know that we hit the prem about 2 seasons to early. The way the club had been building from the take over days in League 1, was to get players in ready for the championship. Those players and the rest of the team out performed all expectations (including the fans if we are honest) and got us into the Prem. Truth is we were not ready and had to try and assemble a strong enough squad within a very short amount of time.It was never going to be achievable to make up for the building seasons that we needed in the championship in 2 transfer windows. So for fans to be so hyper critical of our performances this season is in my opinion very shortsighted.
Today was especially disappointing given the importance of the game, but also demonstrated the difference between a team that has had some time to build and one that hasn't".
My hope is that we will be back in the Prem in 26/27 as a better stronger and more robust football team after a successful building season in the championship. |

Personally I think the pricing is fair and I will certainly renew. That said, possibly 3 new shirts and a subscription to Town TV could be stretching my limited budget. Some cost cutting may be in order for myself. I would be interested how others feel in respect of new shirts every season. |

Not sure how many of the previous commentators were actually at today's came. Town are definitely a work in progress and by far not done yet. I thought the front 2 worked very hard and will definitely have better results on another day. The penalty miss was unfortunate to say the least, but the lads kept going right to the end. Unbeaten in the league so far, so far more positive than last season. Time for unwavering support instead of the constant slagging off on this forum. |
