Saturday in the away end
at 10:18 7 May 2024

Thanks, I was in the away end - didn't see too many Ipswich fans, thought we brought good numbers regardless and the majority of us seemed to enjoy the party atmosphere and celebrating with you guys before and after. It was great that everyone could party together and there was no nastiness at all unlike them Notts Forest knobheads at Wembley.

I know a few on our forums and on social media have now taken Ipswich as their Premiership team to follow, there genuinely seems to be a bit of a love in between the 2 sets of fans. It's unfortunate that when we was in the Prem, you guys we're in League 1 and now the rolls have reversed.

Hopefully under our ambitious owner we nail a good manager down and give him the funds he needs to get out of League 1 first time around, then build from there like you guys did.

All the best for next season, enjoy it!

Up The Town x 2.

Rope Walk is currently shut - sounds like it will be sold to the new owner for development.

There is a FanZone very close to it which will have numerous food/drink stalls, activities for kids and the early KO on a big screen. Or you have the follwoing...

Real Ale Pubs: Kings Head, Head of Steam, The Sportsman, Rat & Ratchet, Boy & Barrell, The Grove, Magic Rock Brewery

Family & Food: The Yorkshire Rose (get in early)

Sports: Williams Bar

Taking the Missus: Vox, Voda

All within a 10-15min walk to the ground, that's without mentioning the pubs on the main streets in the Town center where there is many more options - and not much further, if at all....

'Spoons: The Cherry Tree

Added to the local watering holes, you also have the King's Head just to the left of the station, if you walk down the station past the Harold Wilson statue and turn left you have Williams Bar just on your right which will have Sky Sports etc, I believe the white shiyte are the early KO, and if you also turn left and go further than Williams bar just under the bridge you have The Sportsman (where I'll be) which has some lovely and cheap craft ales. (You should find some on street parking around this area also).

For you 'Spoons lovers there's The Cherry Tree. Or simply just head into the Town Centre, everywhere is within easy walking distance to the ground. One not to go into unless your looking for a black eye is The Vulcan.

Enjoy your day!

Morning, Huddersfield fan here. Very happy this fixture is back, I grew up near Ipswich before moving back up North so have adopted Ipswich as my second team and have a lot of friends who support them.

Bad news I'm afraid, we used to give the whole South Stand to away fans but now I believe it's just 2,300(ish) you will be given as the other 2 blocks go to the 'Cowshed Loyal.'

Home attendances have been down a bit this season, there is a bit of apathy around we didn't address the striker situation this Summer as it seems our new Billionaire owner can't spend until next season due to FFP so it looks like a season of just making sure we stay in the league (which we should) and then going for it next season.

If you need any help/info let me know, some fantastic real ale pubs to go too around the Town before and after the game.
