I get it, but I'm really intrigued as to what the alternative is?
We have a Housing crisis, we need millions of homes. Headline yesterday stated 'UK population set to grow by five million within 10 years' which increases this.
Unfortunately too often these are the classic NIMBY go too's that are used to block things by people who think they are entitled to live somewhere over others, just because they were there first.
I suspect some will argue that Landlords owning multiple properties are also to blame (which I would agree) But what can be done about this now? Those on the right will argue immigration is the cause, but we know it's not that simple and even if the borders were shut, it would cause major issues elsewhere.
No we don't. Muric is good enough, despite all the bed wetting. People very quick to get fixated on errors and forget the numerous good saves he made in the same games (e.g at Brentford, before the error saved about 3 high XG chances)
We should be focusing funds outfield, goalkeeper is the last line of defense. Southampton spent 25mil on a goalkeeper who has also made numerous errors this season. They are all prone to it, even more so when you're one of the worst teams in the division.
Surely it goes without saying referees have at least some bias, even if it's relatively unconscious bias based on experiences of certain players/managers and experiences before. Human nature.
But you have to trust they do their best to referee fairly, unfortunately for Coote he said comments publically which indicated he might be influenced. All his integrity gone in a few seconds of stupidity.
Interesting 'exclusive interview' with the same paper that published the various stories on him after the video was circulated on social media.
Obviously his refereeing career is over. I'm also not sure how relevant his sexuality is for the reason of his actions (But don't doubt it was difficult in that envrioment). But it does highlight some huge issues on how referees are treated, stories of him receiving death threats and people wishing he was paralysed really shouldn't be the outcome of a decision he made at the weekend.
I have no idea how the PGMOL do anything to improve that?
He'll rightly never referee in the english game again as his integrity here is gone. But hopefully a opportunity opens up abroad so he can have a second chance.
Breaking News: People want a system that benefits them and their position.
No one can truly dispute the current system is unfair. Yes it is a bit of a closed shop, but it’s a closed shop to those who attended atleast a handful of L1 games and majority of Champ games.
I done about 5 League one away days and 11 Championship days and have so far got a ticket to every game this season. So it’s not like you even had to go to every game to have the opportunity this season.
Want to do them all this season, but I wont do as many next year, nor will others and so more chances will arise for people.
I was actually thinking earlier about how I have stopped listening to KOA as much lately.
They all bring something different I suppose. Typically I wont listen if Stu’s not on it, I prefer Mark being in the host chair along side him, I actually enjoy the light heartedness he brings. He’s not on there to be the expert, does a great job guiding the conversation IMO. I struggle when either is missing tbh.
Don’t want to be unfair on the others, at the end of the day they are there to do different jobs at the paper and just do this as an extra. It’s not like they were hired just to be podcasters.
It's a massive one for us because, based on league performance, it's the easiest game we'll have this season. 3pts are so hard to come by in this league we can't be giving them up in a game like this.
I suspect we'll see more to a firm 4 at the back and less of the hybrid back 5 system. Hopefully dibbling is still out injured, meaning they have very little to offer in attack.
For me it would have to be:
Muric (which will upset some on here) Tuenzebe - Oshea - Greaves - Davis - Cajuste - Morsy - Hutch - Enciso - Philogene - Delap -
I know people are hot on broadhead right now, but I like him more off the bench.
CM I would say is top priority, we're so easy to play through at the moment with Cajuste the only one looking up to it, but can only handle 70 minutes.
ST I think we just need someone capable. We don't need much here, with Delap leading the line, I actually think a player like Iheanacho would do fine just to cover us if Hirst gets injured and to offer a different option.
I disagree with people saying we need a GK, Southampton dropped 25m on a GK and he's been relatively poor. Outfield should be the priority, goalkeepers are a last resort!
Out of interest what do you deem to be the difference between 'Professional, reputed sports journalist' and a podcaster? A Mickey mouse degree in journalism?
Would personally listen to one of our fans who lives and breathes the club from Blue Monday for example, than a national jorno who probably only see's us play when we play the big boys.
Without knowing as much as others on this, is there any chance it could of been shot down (un-intentionally of course). Then covered up? e.g. China mistaking it for something else?
Surely that's a more realistic conspiracy compared to some (Hijacked and taken to a military island / cyber terrorism/ Russian Hijacking)
I guess Pilot suicide is the most obvious explanation though.
