 | Forum Reply | Plymouth are champions- well done them. at 16:51 7 May 2023
We can be more classy than that. We were the better team in the last third of the season, but to hold us off despite our incredible run was extraordinary |

Whittaker was never quite as pivotal to Plymouth as many thought. Azaz has come back from long term injury who according to my Plymouth mate is just as good if not better. Plus Matete has come in from Sunderland and looks even better. Plymouth are not dropping off any time soon I am afraid. |

The stats suggest that, but for the first time frankly, on the basis of Saturday I do not think we can expect do better than Plymouth in the run in. They are frankly a better team than just the pure chances on target/goals scored stats suggest. They are top for very good reason. |

The club is on course for 90 plus points. That is promotion form. If two teams happen to do better that is not our failing, but credit to them. You cannot have an expection we will get high nineties, no team can. We are doing all we should be doing, it is not enough, so be it. |
 | Forum Reply | Whittaker targeted by Rangers at 16:31 16 Jan 2023
Whittaker evidently never had any interest in coming here. I dont want and I doubt the club wants a player whose heart is with Plymouth. Time to move on with this one. |
 | Forum Reply | Apart from the goal at 19:30 15 Jan 2023
They did not “escape with a point” we just happened to score first. I know its gutting to concede late but fact is both teams deserved a goal and 1-1 was a result that reflect play, we just happened to score first - somebody has to in a 1-1 draw. |
 | Forum Reply | Plymouth support at 15:05 15 Jan 2023
I always think you get a hard core away support that make all the noise (probably around 500 in Plymouth’s case) and then bigger support makes little difference to the noise until there is really something to shout about. |
 | Forum Reply | If it is the play-offs... at 14:06 15 Jan 2023
Trouble is if Plymouth continue to draw away and win at home they will win 98 points. Yes they will surely drop some more points at home, but they will also bag a few wins away. I see them potentially losing at Sheff Weds, dropping points at home against Derby, and perhaps struggling at Barnsley, but otherwise I think we have to assume they will win most of the rest of their games. The expected drop off is not happening and the influx of players over the transfer windows mean it will not happen. With Wednesday firing on all cylinders I think we need 95 points go up. Extraordinary but there it is. Play offs most likely outcome. |

Today was disappointing. I am gutted we did not get 3 points. It is absurd however to fall back on the trope that we all over the opposition but could not finish, or threw away a lead. It was a tight game, one all was entirely fair. We both had 3 or.4 decent chances. We both had purple patches. We both passed the ball around nicely at times . We both made silly mistakes at times (this is league one). Plymouth are good. As good as us, possibly slightly better organised. Some days we are not good, some days we finish poorly, some days we throw the game away. Today was not any one of those things, we just met our match. Peace out. |
 | Forum Reply | In pub reflecting on the game at 21:45 14 Jan 2023
That is absurd. We are in league one, by league one standards it was a high quality game. No we didnt stroll around the park passing it at will as we do in some games, but that is not a high quality game, that is poor quality opposition allowing us to do so. Today was high tempo with no little ability by both sides. We may not have got the result we wanted, it may not have been a goal fest, but it waa definitely not a poor quality game. |
 | Forum Reply | If we don’t get promoted this season… at 19:33 14 Jan 2023
If you are counting today as a “bottle job’ you dont understand football. It was a pretty even game against the top team in the division , we took the lead and then restricted them to one half chance which they scored with a deflection. Nonsense to suggest it was a “bottle job” |

Well if we lose way and draw at home the result tends to indicate the opposition are better. Not saying they are but on results that is the indication. |

There has been lots of discussion comparing Cooper with Walton. Sorry I but I would bite your hand off for a swap. |
 | Forum Reply | Play Offs It Is Then at 18:22 14 Jan 2023
Sorry just dont see where you get we should have won from. The stats don’t bear this out. The biggest miss of the match was from Plymouth. Yes we scored first, but just weird to say we should have won. There is no basis for that. |
 | Forum Reply | Plymouth look a year ahead of us. at 18:08 14 Jan 2023
They were not the better side, but nor we. Draw was a fair result. I don think you can blame us for not “putting it to bed”. Thought we played pretty well but so did they. We need to respect the fact they are at least as good as we are. |

Didnt the goal we scored against them at their place get a huge deflection? |
