Judge: Official

It's definitely not Judge, I don't think he has played a forward pass all season.

By my reckoning, it's....

How can these players be so crap they can't even get a shot on target ( let alone score a goal ) in division three.

Oxford have scored 6 today, Wimbledon 5, and even Wigan have got 3 FFS!

Indeed. I would personally try Hawkins with Jackson and a more direct approach but we shall see.

Could be a start for Hawkins.

To be honest we may as well try two up front and hoofball as we don't seem to be able to get near the opposition goal with anything else we have tried.

It seems so unlike Ipswich

To take a club like ITFC at our lowest point in decades with new financial backing is a perfect opportunity isn't it?

As long as he doesn't go 'Paul Hurst' on us and carefully selects his new recruits we can't really go wrong. I trust him to do this, exciting times ahead.

Really? I would think it will be something he is relishing. This squad is clearly not good enough and unable to play the system Cook wants to employ.

To able to release so many players is a blessing and to now have a stronger financial position must have him licking his lips.

We can now potentially pick up the cream of league One and replace most of the dross that has repeatedly failed at this club, even in the 3rd division.

Corbyn and Duncan Smith oppose vaccine passports

And three of the biggest c**nts on the planet ( Johnson, Hancock and Gove) are pushing them.

I'm not sure this is a great method for deciding where you stand on this particular issue.

Fitness is definitely an issue with this squad. It was noticeable against Portsmouth that there was a big difference between us and them. Pompey were still full of energy at 90 mins whereas most of our team looked dead on their feet.

It has been said all season that we only play with the right intensity for small spells in games and since Cook has arrived it has been even more apparent that they cannot maintain the level of energy required to carry out his game plan for 90 mins. This is perhaps why we have seen good 1st half performances followed by a flat 2nd half, Plymouth at home being another prime example.

At least Cook will now be patently aware of this and we can expect a very different scenario next year after a full pre-season.

I think we have seen enough now to know that unfortunately he is not going to be the player he was when he first joined us. I expect him to be released in the summer.

So, just to be clear, the feel good factor lasted 7 hours...

Quite. It's very strange that people are questioning Cook already. In the position we currently find ourselves there is probably not a ( realistic ) manager out there with a better track record.

Of course that doesn't guarantee he will be a success here but past performance is a pretty good indicator and something Evans clearly overlooked when appointing Lambert. It's hard to imagine what some people are actually expecting. Moon on a stick springs to mind.

Of course i'm joking, chill Man.

I mean who doesn't remember casting a paranoid eye around the office wondering who might secretly be harbouring a virus that could make us all sick even though they weren't sick themselves....

Do you remember the good old days pre- Covid when you actually had to have symptoms to be diagnosed with a disease? Back then you also had to have symptoms to be considered infectious to others. I miss those days....

Saturday has suddenly become a biggie hasn’t it?
at 11:50 24 Feb 2021

Very good summary. Most of us have been saying for a long time that a more back to basics approach, 2 strikers on the pitch and less fannying about in our own half would bring an immediate upturn in results.

And that's not down to some amazing insight, it has just been blindingly obvious for quite some time. It's really quite amazing how a so called Professional football Manager has taken so long to work it out.

Does Downes come straight back in?
at 11:07 24 Feb 2021

You may well be right, but he certainly played there more than once. I seem to remember one gloriously whipped in cross he supplied from wide right which was headed home by McGoldrick.

The point being he can play that role and i'd rather see Bishop out wide than Judge, as well as it allowing us to get our four best midfielders on the pitch. You could also make a case for Edwards replacing Bennetts when fully fit.

No, but he could possibly come in for Judge. A midfield four of Bishop, Downes, Dozzell & Bennetts is very good at this level and Bishop can play on the right of a 4-4-2 which is where he played when he first burst onto the scene under Mick.

Let us not forget...
at 08:03 24 Feb 2021

Doncaster put four past us last time and it was the same back four that played last night.

A good result against Hull but we need to back it up with wins over both Doncaster and Accrington before we can even consider that Lambert is starting to turn this around.

Anybody confident that is going to happen? No, me neither.

You say that but it's only a contract until the end of the season. Had Marcus pulled his finger out sooner and offered Pearson a 3 year deal he may well have chosen us. But Marcus is gonna Marcus....

No real surprise, by the time Marcus has dithered for few more weeks we will be looking at a shortlist of Megson and Parkinson........what a club!
