 | News Comment | McCarthy: Feels Like a Defeat at 07:47:53
Overall this season apart from Stevenage we've played reasonably well. Little slice of luck not been on our side. Our main problem which is plain as day is an out and out striker to play off McGoldrick. But funds need to be released to get a quality forward in. Will Evans let MM spend? A Billy Sharp or Kevin Doyle would definitely help us. Until we can finish teams off there will a lot more results like this however well we play. Town are still a work in progress after previous managers have done a lot of damage to the club, so keep the faith |
 | News Comment | McCarthy: Not Pretty or Sexy But Dogged and Determined at 20:50:53
Well done Town, a hardcfought victory against a suprisingly average Burnley side. Big Mac has got us working. Still early days so we still get some beatings. But its a slow step in the right direction. Yes it aint pretty, but isnt has been for years. In our situation results are the most important thing. McCarthy will get our club back on track even if it takes 2 years, his record speaks for itself. Nice dig at Look Norwich as well he is coming round to the Ipswich way already |
 | News Comment | Jewell: We're Nowhere Near Good Enough At the Moment at 08:42:54
Pre-season its always hard to judge how your team will do when season starts proper for example Man City with top players back lost at Oldham. Town are in my view at least 4 players short. Another CB is a must and a target man up front to help Chopra and give us options. wide area on the left now that it looks like Murphy not coming is a problem area, cant keep player right footers there. Maybe thats why the awful diamond shape Jewell likes these days is in use. Theres no real cover for Creswell if he gets injured either. Hopefully get mistakes and problems out now before the kick off starts. Personally i would like us to go with wing backs, Creswell and Edwards supplying width with 3 centerbacks. We have good center midfielders to choose from and supposed wide men can also play in the middle, Martin and Jet. But thats hope for a good season at least make a challenge |
 | News Comment | Jewell: Loach Was Target Last Year at 18:37:55
Loach is a very good keeper, young, hungry for success. All keepers go through a wobbly patch, we've seen world class keepers do this. The move here will hopefully bring the best out of him. Welcome Scott may you be here for many years to come |
