January Transfer Window Targets
at 12:57 16 Nov 2023

I agree that EL Mizouni could well be the answer to midfield reinforcement, plus further down the line he functions well as academy player being brought through who has quality, but can be superseded by an established quality signing in the future if we spend.

This season for Orient he is impressive for touches and defensive actions (stuff like successful tackles, dribbles etc) as well as getting shots away in the box and winning arial duels. He would supplement the all around role Morsy+Mass execute with added technique; all that individual ability, enhancement from Town coaching and learning from those two veteran midfield indicates recipe for success. The energy he will bring for that role will ease the starters work for a strong finish.

Dobson (25) at Charlton is an another good defensively solid and technical midfielder. Way more experience, also captains the team, and falls in that high Lg1/low Championship quality market that seems Ipswich will target, and have success in too.

Tim Iroegbunam could be gem: full season at QPR last year but undervalued by Villa and didn’t get a move. Depends what level midfielder is the target.

Not a scooby striker wise.

I think an added quality attacking midfield signing should be made. Someone who plays across the Broadhead and Chaplin area. Especially as good as a goal scorer Chaplin is, his running can be nullified and the area can be improved with a different additional skillset.

Aaron Collins at Bristol Rovers has scored and assisted consistently in league 1+2 (3G 5A this season); 26 so ready for a step up; plays left, mid and CF. He would be a couple mill but a deal could be made as he’s got 1 1/2 year on his contract, similar case to last Jan signings. I like idea he would push for the Wales squad like the other guys at Ipswich that the manager has elevated. He certainly would be worth the pursuit, although we won’t be the only ones looking.

Keilor-Dunn and Jodi Jones in LG 2 could be viable as both threat with G+A.

From the recent interview with Ashton there is financing that is within FA limits. Unclear how ruthless they want to be with squad additions and departures. IMO 1 mid and 1 attacker in and out wouldn’t unsettle anything, and pushes the ceiling.
