Poor 2nd half from Town. All over the place. still cant cope with league 1 style football. Defence looked lost and confused. Conceded the early goal issue again. However a win and 3 points. think the 3.1 at half time flattered us. Seemed to contrive to want to lose that game or at least give Rotherham a chance. Some players look spent, chasing Rotherham shadows most of the first half and definitely could not cope 2nd half.

Credit to Rotherham they came with a plan, pressed, chased and applied untold amounts of pressure.

Chaplin's nutmeg of the keeper, Burns shot for the first, Ladapo's control and shot all will live long in the memory. Industrious in midfield. strong at the back, goals from anywhere in this team. A joy to have been there and watched an excellent game

KMCK got the selection wrong for another game, hence why 3 changes needed at half time. I never want to see Keough play again, sorry Keough but you were awful, so slow, always on the floor, poor decisions.

first 20 mins superb. Then we stop thinking again and let them score. Every game Walton takes a poor kick. Thankfully yet to be punished for it. How Walton failed to stop the shot I do not know, near post! squirmed under his body. 2nd half less of a threat, still created chances, but why are we so poor in front of goal, Ladapo needs to train his fast twitch muscles as I don't think he has any. Seems to take so long for the thoughts to action the limbs. Lots of hard work from many on the pitch, but it is the lapses in concentration, and poor finishing that is killing us with so many points dropped from games. Which I hope we do not rue come the end of the season.

1st half not the best, but the key was waiting for Bracknell to tire, and being able to impose our game.

Individually some mistakes, collectively some errors. I appreciate we play at a high tempo, but a common theme is the drop off with 10-15 minutes to go and the opposition putting us under immense pressure or even scoring. Some poor lapses in concentration at times, ad passes not finding their target

Walton - worst game for the club
Donacien - a couple of good tackles and some not so good defending at times
Woolfy - fairly solid and some good passes
Edmundson - concerns me at times, not the man he was last season
Burns - not the man he was last season, be interesting to see if he goes to the world cup how we fair without him, he might have to fight for his place.
Ball - super performance
Morsy - tries so hard and drives the team, but needs to think more otherwise a 3 match ban will arrive all to soon
Leif - We do need to utilise this man so much more, and get a partner for him down that left like D&B are at times on the right
Chaplin - high work rate
Jackson - missed a sitter, pace, but not much else
John-Jules - worked hard but no final product
Ladapo - after a couple of bad games, has come good in the last 2
Harness - not sure what he has been on the last couple of games, off the pace, poor passing. Needs to think harder
Edwards - adds pace and skills needs a partner to work with down the wings
Keogh - came on to do a job but did not do it.

Kieran - Beginning to see cracks appearing that need addressing. From not conceding, to conceding to many in games. Player changes that are not working, either from the start or subs. Injuries clearly affecting the fitness of players as the drop off is becoming obvious now we are a few games into the season. Without players coming back any new injuries may have a serious impact on performance.

Well I can only describe that as a disappointing win. Poor performance, more relief than joy when the goal was scored against the run of play. Could have already been 1/2 nil down before then. Gillingham a much better footballing team today, pulling us all over the place at times. Funny I am sure I wrote a similar report previously this season under a different manager.

Evans has to be dropped what does he bring to the game other than poor passes and nothing else. Can you imagine what we would be like if Edmundson was injured. It would be more than 2 goals a game. Got to look at the formation 4 games without a goal. Not enough through midfield, to many long balls to a double marked Bonne. Not fast or clinical enough to beat the opposition, to pedestrian. Inept performance from both players and manager

Unfortunately first half was like watching the first game of the season again. To many balls over the top. Midfield two might as well have not been there. Second half Carroll and Idris had to come back to get the ball. Clearly defence and midfield two not on same page not knowing what to do at times. Never looked like scoring until the piece of genius from Bonne. Disappointed with the overall performance but take a point. Disagree with Cook. Agree with Mick.

Walton - poor decisions neither came for the ball nor left it. Think communication was better with a non-English speaking keeper. Bring back Holy quickly

KVY - no where near the player he was. No longer a defender.

Edmundson - Is he better than what we have. Has the wait been worth it?

Burgess - Okay, nothing special, strongest of a weak back 4

Coulson - Not as good as the last game, worked well

Harper - Waves his arms directing others, but does very little himself, needs to concentrate on his own game

Evans - Waves his arms directing others, but does less than Harper. As a paring this is our weak spot.

Burns - On fire today two goals from his two crosses

Chaplin - if the ball was played to his feet then we would get so much more from him, however to many balls to his head

Aluko - Ball control and touches were fantastic today. Should be in the middle instead of Harper and Evans

Bonne - Tried hard, scored the first goal and then every ball to him thereafter was hoofed from the back 4 because there is no midfield to pass to. Only wide men.

Jackson - Not sure why he was brought on. Not his fault.

Carroll - Forgot he had come on the pitch I was so annoyed by this time. Cant remember if he did anything. Not his fault.

Donacien - Got pulled inside so many times by Bolton to leave the gaps out wide. Not as solid as previous games.

Cook - Change the formation. For all of the personnel changes, these are your players. The one constant has been the formation which does not work. Get a defensive number 2 now as the current management team are useless. Jobs for the boys who dont know what they are doing. Give the kit man his old job back now he is way above his head.

Ipswich Town v Norwich City Your Report added at 16:04:53
So many new players that we still look that we need to know where people are/will be on the pitch and that will only come from the training ground and games. Sometimes a typical Derby match, we still seem to invite teams to attack us rather than get the foot in, which enables them to push on more and create.

However early second half we really put them under pressure and the goal was fully deserved. Edwards shot was sublime from the CO-OP stand view point, cannot wait to see the highlights. However as much as we look like we can score we also look like we fall asleep at the back and again let the opposition score. I think we sat far to deep and the opposition goal was inevitable.

Would liked to have seen Walters hit his first half chance so early in the game rather then try to play (Edwards) in. still looking for that first win, still looking like work in progress. The win will come. Think Walters made a big difference and liked the two up front much better then the 1 up front tactic from earlier games. Chalobah is most definitely not a midfielder, I would prefer him not to have a shot but look to pass when on the edge of the box, you know that ball is always going to sky.

Overall back home pleased with the game, excellent atmos in the second half the crowd really got together and started singing which really lifted the game. Would like to hear more stadium singing rather then just the north or south. Funny did not sing so much when to were attacking the SAR stand in the first half.

Glad Pennington was at the back, took charge and shouted lot at other players giving direction. Nolan creates but is he better than Dozell. Edwards was double marked, or tries to many tricks at times. But ot many times when he passed the defender.

I think we need to be more aware of the second ball, or where it might end up, our second ball coverage is where Norwich got a lot of possession to create. They seem to practice where people will be in certain situations, which we seemed to lack always looking for players or space, but not necessarily the intended knowing where they were supposed to be.

Ball up and under to much, to many head tennis going on. Only a few players capable of getting it down and trying to create.

Overall more pleasant to watch than last 5 years of football, but still room to improve. Entertained I was.
