Scowcroft: Palace the Blueprint For Town to Follow
at 17:53:04

Like the others; I expected it to be at least 50/50!

Privately I'm sure he's probably rooting for us as he's come through the system and is from Suffolk.

I'd have to go somewhere in the middle. Definitely not in my top 10. Not sure he's even top 10 of my lifetime ( post Robson era ) but he was POTS when we went up. He'd sneak into the Top 50.

Good luck with the rest of the season apart from tonight James COYB

Dozzell Joins Portsmouth
at 14:01:25

I certainly don't remember him as someone who can get around the pitch. I'd go as far to say that's the weakest part of his game.

However his passing ability and IQ are very good. He's a better footballer than Luongo for sure. Just needs to learn the ugly side of the game. At 25 he'll be approaching his peak. His dad being a club legend maybe didn't help as people were always going to compare them.

Best of luck Andre I'm sure you'll prove people wrong. And please score a winner against Norwich. COYB

Jackson, Ball and Camara Released as Town Announce Retained List
at 14:57:30

I think Jackson could be a decent squad player and am sad to see him go. Wish him all the best and he should be aiming for the top half of the Championship not League 1 he's definitely too good for that.

I would've focused on moving on other players such as Humphries, Ladapo, Donacien, Ndaba . However Kieran and the club haven't got much wrong so far so I should trust his judgement COYB

Leicester City 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 18:03:13

RobsonWark - I don't know what's wrong with you but your Jackson obsession needs to stop. He didn't have a great game but then again he is our second choice striker and he's always fully committed. Scored a crucial goal against Sunderland and I'm certain he'll contribute before the end of the season.

I believe that a draw was a fair result and we should've beaten them at Portman Road. They're the best team in the league and we were playing League 1 last year. The 'performance level' that KCM mentions constantly has definitely dipped over the past couple of weeks but that's to be expected. We've come so far in such a short space of time. For the first time in almost twenty years we have an exciting attacking team who keep the ball on the ground and pass through the thirds. As fans we enjoy watching Ipswich home and away. I can't remember the last time this was the case.

Southampton are also a team stacked with PL quality players. To stay ahead of them is mightily impressive. COYB

Donacien Out, Burgess and Hirst Facing Fitness Tests
at 16:44:24

I was at Loftus Road last week ( in the home end ) and imo Hirst was poor he kept on falling over and didn't square it to Burns for a tap in when he was wide open. Ladapo is a workhorse but his he will get found out at this level. I hope he proves me wrong.

I feel we only need two sigings don't want to repeat the mistakes of the Evans regime of having a bloated squad. This will be the hardest game of the season so far so lets hope we get an early goal and PR is rocking COYB

McKenna: Edwards at the Stage Where He Wants to Go and Start More Games
at 16:09:21

Oh dear this is a very BAD move

As an impact sub he's excellent. He lacks consistency and his decision making isn't great but he's fantastic on the ball. On his day can beat players for fun and offers something different. This is the worst decision that KM and the club will have made so far

All the best Kyle I'm sad to see you leave COYB

Morsy: Reports of Saudi Interest News to Me
at 16:04:12

Nomore 4 - I agree he's the best captain since Holland and I would have to lose him, however in terms of ability he's no where near Holland or Magilton.

If he were to receive a huge offer then I wouldn't blame him for leaving although I would be upset as he appears to have a real bond with the fans and is a great leader COYB

Orient Confirm Pigott Signing
at 15:59:57

I was excited when we signed him. Playing for us in League One I thought he'd be the top scorer but it's clearly not worked out. I feel as thought another club would have got £100,000 for him

Wish him all the best

New Kits Fastest-Selling in Town History
at 14:30:10

I think the home shirt would look better if the collar was white

I like the retro feel and the nod to our promotion season however prefer the away shirt think it's much better. Have had good dutch players and Bobby is loved in Holland so I like the orange touch

I think the club should keep the home short for two seasons instead of trying to get as much money as possible each year. I know every club does it and they need to make money from merchandise, however it leaves a sour taste. Will buy the away shirt as an exception this year because it's so good COYB

Luongo, Aluko and Chirewa Offered Terms But Keogh, Penney, Coleman and Vincent-Young Released
at 23:22:12

I would've released Aluko. Barely played last season and is clearly past his best

Didn't rate JJ either don't want him back. Need to buy Hirst outright and tell him he's the main man can see him tearing it up

Ipswich Town 1-1 Plymouth Argyle - Match Report
at 22:28:46

On a positive note Woolfenden was the best player on the pitch and seems to be improving as the season goes on

The passion he showed in celebrating with the SBR stand was special to see. He'll play in the Premier League one day ( hopefully with us )

Ipswich Town 1-1 Plymouth Argyle - Match Report
at 22:18:38

Essex Tractor - Interesting that you viewed Burgess as one of the better players when I felt he got turned once or twice and was wasteful in possession

I'm still calm about the remainder of the season. Of course it's frustrating to drop two points today but Plymouth are top of the league for a reason. The real surprise for me was Walton. He's the best keeper in the league, and our best keeper since Richard Wright, yet was awful today.

My main criticism for today is for the manager I'm afraid. I think he's fantastic and will take us to the Championship either this season or next however his substitutions today were strange. To play Morsy as a No 10 when we have Edwards and Jackson on the bench makes no sense. We invited pressure and sat back. I hate to say it but as soon as I saw there was so much injury time I knew we were in trouble. I still believe we will go up this season we just might have to settle for the Play Offs

Aluko Triggers One-Year Option
at 23:51:41

Not sure how I feel about this. Clearly a skilful player with a good turn of pace however Chaplin is more effective in terms of goals and assists. We won't be able to afford Celina for another season so perhaps this is a shrewd move however I'd rather see Dobra come back and provide back up to Chaplain

McKenna: I'd Say We Shaded It
at 13:56:34

Bluedocker - Why would you put the best RWB / RW in the league up front? Doesn't make any sense

We should have left Simpson at Swindon no point bringing him back to play U23's

I'm impressed with McKenna we have definitely improved under him I just think with the players we have he should play two up front with Chaplin or Celina in behind. Personally would like to see Jackson and Norwood play together as they compliment each other well COYB

Charlton Athletic 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 22:30:43

Oh dear oh dear

I thought Rotherham was bad but that was much worse. I'm surprised Donacien wasn't taken off as he's clearly not suited to playing LB

The season is in danger of being over before Christmas. Nothing more to add aside from this is probably the most depressed I've been supporting Town in my life. I genuinely thought with the squad we have we'd be in the top 8. Walton was excellent it could've been embarrassing I feel for the 3,000 loyal fans stood in the cold to watch that shower of s****

Hopefully we'll turn in around quickly but I can see us stagnating in mid table :(
