We need to remember that we have player to have a reasonable team and we are looking for players to upgrade the team which is very difficult given financial constraints, their clubs letting them go for a reasonable fee and also them wanting to play in the championship. We do not want player that are not an improvement. Just trust the management and back the team. |

I am not sure how it could be handled much differently. The club obviously want to keep their best players or ,being a business , want as much money as possible for him which is fair enough. The player has a short career and wants to play at the top level and make as much money as possible during that limited time which is also fair enough. The buying club want to buy players as cheaply as possible which also fair enough. So getting a compromise to try and all sides happy come down to negotiations which fair enough. As for refusing to play, I can understand to a degree because if he is moving on a big deal and he picked up a bad injury it ruin the transfer altogether meaning he may lose that big money forever and also we would have an unhappy player on our hands and no money. |

SoCalTownFan you seem not to understand KM’s method of playing. It is based on ball retention as much as possible and not giving it away by having rash shot when there is no possibility of scoring so,contrary to what you say, instead of ‘running’ out of ideas’ and having a wasted shot they recycle the ball and possibly come back with another ‘idea’ rather than just give the ball to the opposition. Of course this has an element of risk and the players need to be brave to pull out the opposition to make space in behind but KM has stated this many times. The new players added this window look to be an attempt to try and unlock packed defences. |
