McKenna: Busy and Emotional Last Week
at 08:07:58

Great interview. It was clear that MA and KM needed to come out and address some of the "issues" due to the negativity creeping in. KM clearly excited about the new players and we should be too. Interesting how he mentioned Azon's role in the derby goal a couple of times- seems Mckenna is a big fan of him, which is exciting!!

Lovely words about chappers too. Essentially saying that the players who have achieved so much with us have earned their right to want to move on for first team football and "better" opportunities and we won't stand in their way; testament to KM and MA's man management.

Feel it's really important we beat sheff utd next Friday to put everyone's doubts to rest and we can then build a run from there- I'm confident we will!

It will be a really interesting game, a complete new identity for Town... Time for all of us to move on from the old guard sadly but remember them for what they were over the past 3 seasons- many of them club legends!!

Time for new ones to step up!

Cajuste: Town Culture Suits Me Perfectly
at 11:55:01

Lots of talk about our lack of leaders, but Jens is someone that fill that void! Absolute joke of a player at this level and has shown a loyalty and commitment that not many have in footy these days!! What a man!!

Chaplin's Portsmouth Loan Return Confirmed
at 23:00:38

Such a strange move. A game changer and a leader. Love chappers to bits. As much as I love him, couldn't really care less what a good move this is for him.... its a terrible move for ITFC. Not a single player at the club as creative as him, or with such a good work ethic. As I said on the other post, how can you go from a starter on Saturday to out the club on Monday?

I get we need to move on. However a championship 11 with Burgess, Tuenzebe, Mass, Morsy, Broady, Chappers, Harness, Wolfy and even AAH and Muric probably beats our current lot... certainly on current form...

Just hope the lads that are still here can turn things around and put a run together, or things could get fairly toxic fairly quickly.

Would appreciate some coms from KM and MA on the direction of the side.

Egeli and Nunez must be some players to feel we don't need chappers anymore.

How must Leif feel?

Gutted.

Ogbene Completes Blades Loan Move
at 18:29:43

Like others have said, was looking forward to seeing ogbene for us this season... is Macateer any better? Time will tell I guess...

Shame as seems like a great guy and was clearly a great player pre injury....

Ashton had a real principle of only signing "top lads", hope we haven't lost that.... but clearly losing too in Ogbene and Chappers.....

Let's see what the new lads bring, but I'm disappointed in losing Chappers, Ogbene and Wolf on the last day of the window...

As others have said, Sheff Utd and Cov could easily be "rivals" come the end of the season, so hope we don't regret these moves...

Losing Chappers, Burgess, Wolfy, Morsy and Broady in one window is absolutely brutal and none of them got a proper send off :(

Hopefully the championship lads return to PR this season so we ca give them one. Club Legends for sure.

In terms of consistency and quality, I'd have to say chappers is in the 3 best ITFC players in my lifetime.

Sorry, this post is about Ogbene, I'm just emotional.... haha

Cajuste is clas btw

Chaplin Set For Pompey Return
at 17:27:33

I think the number of comments say it all.... don't understand how he can be deemed to be onof our best 11 players on Saturday then shipper out on Monday????? So disappointed by this... I said a few weeks ago I feel we stil had the soul of the double promotion winners whilst chappers, leif and wolfy were still in the squad.... Well that's completely gone now. Our best player over the 1st four games I'd say and a leader of the squad. Absolutely gutted.

Town Complete Egeli Signing
at 22:38:17

Great signing, the 4th in two days!! It's turned out to be a fantastic window, we have a stronger squad now then we did in the Premier league! Great work KM and MA- the real fans always kept the faith!

I can't wait for the game tomorrow and for all the new signings to be intergrated after the international break!

Town Close to Signing West Brom Defender Furlong
at 10:40:42

Good solid defender, bringing much needed leadership and versatility. Some fans are in the dark ages- 4mn is not a lot of money in today's game!

Assume this allows Wolfy to leave and the Uruguayan fella isn't coming? Perhaps we will go back in for him when we are a premier league club next summer! I lt will be interesting to see how much we get for Wolfy.... who I will miss, I should add, but fully understand him wanting to leave.

This and Nunez again show how good the club are at keeping things under wraps.

A winger and a striker next please!!

More good business.... COYB!!

McKenna: We Have a New Team to Build
at 19:55:13

He's spot on, those that can't see at are absolutely clueless.... I can't believe some of the comments on here, absolutely baffling. Anyone that thinks KM is or should be under any sort of pressure is a clown.

Preston did a job on us today but if we were to come up against them in a month or twos time and they played like that, we'd tear them apart.

Only disappointment for me so far is Jack Clarke. Looks so uninterested... maybe a goal will give him some confidence and kick start his season, but I'm not sure....

Big week ahead in the transfer window and then a big (winable) game against Derby on Saturday.

Town Confirm McAteer Signing
at 11:05:02

Welcome to Town McAteer!!! You'll be supported immensely by those who actually go to games but written off by the negative armchair fans on here that dont!!

Looking forward to seeing what you can do!

Linked on Thursday, signed on Friday! Just goes to show we have no idea what's going on behind closed doors and they'll be a few more surprises over the next week or so!

McAteer Fee and Personal Terms Agreed
at 09:26:58

Hmm... when I first saw this link I thought "good squad player, should be fairly cheap" but £11.5m seems like a lot..... however if KM can work his magic on him then you never know- could prove to be a great signing!!

Another quick deal done by MA and KM it seems- proving again what good operators they are and that they trying, despite what some say....

Hopefully we are still in for Egeli- assume so as we need to replace both Broady and Omari- as he seems a very exciting prospect!

Just remember, £11.5mn on a young, exciting winger with Championship and Premier League pedigree is something we could have only dreamed of just 3 years ago!

Davis: I'm Fully Committed to Town
at 09:31:57

What a legend- seens like such a great lad!! Love Leif! Still feel our team has a big part of its identity from league one whilst him, Burns, Chappers and Wolfy are still around!! Leif and Chappers were both 1st class yesterday. Thought individually Leif and Philogene were great on that left side, particularly in the early stages, however it was clear they haven't played much together and lacked a bit of understanding. Once they get that then WOW, best left wing in the league by a country mile!

McKenna: Philogene Back Training, Matusiwa Should Be Ready For Sunday
at 17:35:51

Back to back promotions. Favourites to win the championship. Best young manager in the league (possibly country), great young squad... but clubs becoming a joke again because we have a few injuries at the start of a season after year we've been relegated and finished our season later than everyone else in the league. OKAY THEN.

Morsy: Hutchinson Exit Should Have Been Smoother
at 14:07:01

I just don't understand why he couldn't play against Birmingham and still force a move....a bit like broady has done! would still have the respect of the fans! We were short in the wing positions and he may have helped us win the game.... glad we've got a good fee and we can move on with plenty time left in the window... some views on here a bit extreme as always. But as Sammy says, we've done well for him and he's done well for us! Wouldn't have got promoted of not for his form the back end of 23/24. COYB

Como Striker Azón Set to Complete Town Loan Switch

Wait but I thought because we'd lost to Bromley Mckenna and Ashton were frauds who have been sitting on their arses all summer???

Exciting signing this! More to come I feel too...

Shame to lose Broady but 10m is a great fee. Again great work by MA!

Bromley 1-1 Ipswich Town (5-4 on Pens) - Match Report
at 23:44:53

Jesus as bad as that performance was the comments on here are by far the most embarrassing thing about tonight. Can't actually believe what I'm reading......

You lot should just stay at home on Sunday and do us all a favour. We sould be going to the game full of optimisum, belief and excitement but you lot will be the ones sucking the life out of PR....

Players and KM deserve our support. I'm sure the negativity is from the minority mind you, just the saddos on here that love a moan.

McKenna: Hutchinson Didn't Feel That He Could Contribute Today
at 23:24:54

Get him gone ASAP. Accept the 35mn if we have to, its more critical that we get a replacement as its clear Clarke isn't going to cut it- he was absolutely awful tonight.

Given the faith KM and the fans have shown Omari, even when he was bang average last season, the way he is acting is a disgrace, although not uncommon in modern football sadly. Who is advising these lads??? No respect for the club.

Absolutely awful performance from the team tonight but the meltdown from the fans completely OTT imo.

Just read a comment on the other post saying Mckenna should be under pressure if we lose to Southampton. Absolute clown.

Will be interesting to see the number of comments on the post when we beat Southampton on Sunday... some fans prefer to see us lose so they have something to moan about.

Early days and the team is still gelling. Think there will be a few more big signings in the window too.

My biggest worry is that our attacking players just don't find any form which looks possible, but I fully trust KM to sort it out.
