 | News Comment | McKenna: Legend of the Club Morsy Will Leave With Everyone's Best Wishes at 20:43:43
Am i the only one who is not completely happy with how this has played out. We all saw that Samy was miles off in the Prem last year, but i think he would have done a great job in the Championship this season. We've now lost a player that could have contributed significantly to us getting promoted. He could have headed off at the end of this season. Also, I understand doing the 'right thing' by a legend like Samy, but how are we not getting a decent fee for a player with a year to go on his contract ? This is business, we're not a charity. I can just about get my head around letting him go if this is a great opportunity for him and his family, but if they can afford to pay him life changing oil money, surely they could have paid a decent chunk of change to us to take him given our loss for the upcoming season. I don't think that would have blown the deal. No offence to Samy, but we need to do what is best for ITFC. All that said.....what a player and will always be a legend at Ipswich. Thanks for those magnificent performances. |

A genuinely decent performance all round with some really good performances. Baggot was outstanding and looked like a class act (MOTM 1st Half), Philogene also did well, he could destroy the championship this season. Broadhead looked good second half and his pass for the goal was a gem. |

I hope this doesn't happen (Not just because he's my favourite player). I think we all saw that Samy was out of his depth in the Prem last season, but I think he could do a great job in the Championship this season and IF we were to get promoted then that would be a perfect time for him to bow out as one of our best ever skippers. Shouldn't underestimate either what he brings to the dressing room and the training ground. |

I'm not desperately disappointed by this. All things being equal it would have been nice to have him back and he did fairly well last season, but nothing life changing. I feel confident we can get at least an equivalent and likely a better player in that position. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Certainly a Possibility Delap Will Be an Ipswich Player Next Season at 18:20:07
Let's be honest with ourselves, he's not going to be with us next season. He / his agent made sure there was a relegation clause in his contract, that wasn't by accident. Of course there is a 'chance'....0.01% is a chance, but it's not going to happen. He deserves his chance to move to top team and i'm sure he goes with all our best wishes. It was great watching him in a Town shirt....just a shame it was only one season. And whilst the release fee seems a little on the low side, a 15M profit (Less Man City's cut) is pretty decent in one year. In Ashton i trust. |

I'm a bit confused. Have we 'sold' him ? Are we getting any spondoolicks (One for the kids) for him ? |

Early season sentimentality just cost us around 500k-1 million quid. Good luck Fridge......you'll always be remembered fondly and welcomed at Portman Road. |

Great chat Wes but maybe managing more than a light jog to get back and defend the back post for their last goal might have been nice. Still.....park that one and move on......personally would love to see Omari switched to the right and put Sammy in he 10. Onwards and upwards. |
 | News Comment | Town and Arsenal in Advanced Nelson Loan Talks at 21:43:55
This is a bit of s strange one. Decent player with decent potential, but not a striker. Number 9 is where we are a bit light and Nelson usually plays of the left side of the front where we just signed Jack Clarke (Who i think will be mustard). Maybe K-Mac thinks he can turn him into an effective number 9 ? |

Has anyone actually watched him play ? I saw him play 3-4 times last season and he was absolutely excellent in every game. I like the sound of all the options that have come up so far.......still think Broja would be the pick of them if he was fit. |
 | News Comment | Sunderland Boss: Clarke in Weekend Plans At the Moment at 20:40:05
I'd keep Edmundson ahead of Woolfy as well. Although would like to see both stay as back ups if the squad size allows. Another starting CB is a priority though to play alongside Greaves or in a 3. Clarke would be a fantastic signing. |
