 | News Comment | Flattered McCarthy Coy on Villa Link at 07:16:16
Why are people so convinced that football will return to Portman rd if Mick leaves? We'll have a new manager with same lack of funds but who probably won't have the "pull" to players to make the move to Ipswich. Having MM and TC here is an attractive package for players despite the lack of big money transfer fee and wages. The football hasn't been great recently, the formations we've played have been questionable yet we're still in contention for the play offs... Again! At every club there are tensions and opinions will differ about team selection and style of play but let's look at where we were before MM and TC joined us and what where we are now with the lack of funds that have been made available to them! |

I culdn't agree more with everything you've written. Being in my late 30's I can remember experiencing the buzz under Burney and Royal but there is a whole generation of town fan who hasn't had anything to get excited about... Until now! There are a number of fans that criticise our style of football and don't like not "knowing" who our chairman is but they can't disagree that we are in a far better position now than we have been in for years and excitement and optimism for most has returned. Thank you MM and TC - #COYB #InMickWeTrust |

I think we're in safe hands behind the scenes and safe hands on the field with MM and TC. But what I particularly like is that Mick is left to do the footballing side of the job without his/our chairman interfering. COYB |
 | News Comment | Boss Still Wants More From Emmanuel-Thomas at 19:40:14
MM speaks so much sense IMO. Right now we need grafters more than flare players. Staying up in this league is our only aim. Glimpses of magic from Jet are welcomed from the subs bench but IMO Jet isn't a player that should be starting in our side when we're in a relegation scrap. As MM says he needs to prove to all of us that he can track back and do the donkey work as well as the exciting stuff when we're in this position in the league! Don't get me wrong I celebrated that goal and Jet's exciting footwork and trickery with real passion but for me right now I want to see grafters in the team. COYB InMickWeTrust |
 | News Comment | McCarthy Delighted With Double Signing at 14:41:21
Great start to an FA Cup weekend! I'll take loan players with a view of signing them perminantly when their contacts are up in the summer! Bring them in Mick, keep it going! Loving the new found optimism of most on here these days! Loving what MM & TC are doing with this club, despite losing at the weekend there is a "feel good factor" returning to ITFC due to the way they are managing our team - Love it! In Mick We Trust |
 | News Comment | McCarthy: Nice to Buck the Trend at 07:33:05
Winning a match after conceding a goal is always brilliant, the allation after the disapointment means the celebration is always even more heart felt/Over the top/longer lasting/ crazy/enjoyable... Take your pick! In McCarthy we trust - will be happy with a point today, anything more will be amazing! COYB |
 | News Comment | Chopra Defends Night Out Five at 21:22:16
Oh Chopra! Have you not learnt anything! Tweeting something like is only going to make the matter worse! Grow up! You're in the public eye and I'm afraid with your track record plus what this club has done for you, people are going to be judgmental and feel they can have their opinion - FACT! The secret.... Don't give anyone anything to talk about apart from the goals you score!!! Grow |
 | News Comment | Jewell Staying Patient as He Searches for Right Central Defender at 06:48:11
Agreed that we want and need good additions to team that are better than what we've got ....BUT, Why the hell does it seem so hard to attract decent players to PR? Decent players that are making up the numbers in other teams surely should want to bite PJ's arm off for the chace to play first team football for a club like ours!!? |
 | News Comment | Town Target Local Boy Upson at 17:35:14
Well said Edmunds5... Wish the moaners would take note of the constructive comment makers... Some people are too focused on doom and gloom and condemning us this season... as well as Jewell and Tommy Smith it seems! |
 | News Comment | Davies Could Stay at Derby Until January at 09:30:44
If he wants to move nearer the South so much let's pay the transfer fee asked (or atleast a more realistic offer) and then pay him less per month/year to claw some of the initial outlay back... Just an idea! |
 | News Comment | Loach to Sign on Thursday at 21:26:18
Great post Langdon_Blue - thanks for the copy of the insightful post from the Watford fan! I love the fact we have a "home grown player" putting on the Town shirt on! That alone will mean he'll give us an extra 10% and if the Fans get behind him and he becomes a favourite that will mean another 10% I'm sure!!!! COYB |
 | News Comment | Jewell Praise for Smith at 07:26:16
Tommy has had a strong second half to the season and is still learning. Would be great to see him hear for a good many seasons to come! Love the way he claps all the fans at the end of games - costs nothing but is appreciated by all. |
 | News Comment | Fulham Linked With JET at 00:27:14
When Jet has had the ball at his feet and has been running at players or launching his fizzing free kicks & shots at goal, everyone in the ground is full of anticipation and excitement.... When did we last have a player that make us feel like that? Yes he's in and out of games too much at times and his body language can annoy, but he's still learning his trade and his fitness is obviously an area for development, but he has raw talent that you don't see that often at Championship level and if we can keep him for another season, I feel he could be a major factor in a decent promotion push next year! Hands off, he's not for sale! |
 | News Comment | Klug Opts Against Town Return at 23:08:45
It's only an impression I've got from talking to parents of academy and youth players and some staff at Playford rd, but I don't think our academy set up and run like it used to be! There appears to be quite a bit of unrest! Perhaps that played a part in his decision?!?! |
 | News Comment | Town Linked With New Move for Doncaster Striker at 23:39:29
A must have player if we're going to be true promotion contenders! C'mon Jewell weave some of your magic and get him in and ITFC shirt ASAP. Strength in depth with quality players is essential! COYB |

Some much needed creativity in the middle of the park - brilliant news! And what a character to have in the dressing room! I'd love to know what the incident was at Hull!?!? Someone on here must know - Phil?!? |
