The pinball museum was a hidden gem - a few Euros to get in and then you can go in and out all day and play on all the machines for free, some dating back to the 1950s.

Going up the funicular and having a pint looking over the city as the sun sets was lovely.

The ruin bars were also fun, Szimpla is the biggest and best known.

Budapest also has plenty of spas, some are more party orientated but I went to Rudas, which was nice and chill.

There's also the football, depending on when you fly out on the 19th Ferencvaros will be playing at home that day. You need to be a club member, which you can sign up for on the day but will take some time with the queuing, so make sure you allow time for it if you do go
