We will stick 4 past Maidstone as a fan of both clubs If the Town Fans can sing an anti Gillingham Song The Maidstone fans will be ecstatic whatever the score

Yep apparently there was still quite a few in queue when told they had all gone and it was the first day of their sale after season ticket holders had a couple of days where they could buy a max of two. Probably could have fairly easily easily shifted 500-800 more

Nothing more tinpot than Colmans Mustard whoopie de doo. Anglian Windows /home improvements laughable really as the only way to improve sparrow road is to paint it blue.

Ashton and the Owners
at 08:02 1 Jul 2022

Ashton and the owners engagement with supporters has been superb so far. Increasing community activities is vital if you want to grow the fan base, The club has to matter to as many people as possible. Fanbase grows the club grows the asset value grows.

There is much improvement in the day to day running at the club improved uptake in sales aroiund shirts / season tickets etc.

Investment in the clubs infrastructure to help sustain the club financially in things like land purchases, and facilities.

For fans Its all about Saturdays but the club has to be successful throughout the week.

Everything is going in the right direction off the field and the Evans Decay is being cut away. On the field success will follow.

The club is being placed on a long term stable footing this is to be celebrated even if we are all impatient regarding on the field success.

Obviously getting out of this division is something we desperately need and want but i fully expect McKenna to be here next season if very decent progress toward promotion has been shown.

Ashton will be here because he is doing a very sound job thus far in building the off field club into a solid performing entity

Piggott really stood out today
at 08:43 26 Jun 2022

I think hes heavily affected by a lack of confidence, He doesn't appear to have settled well here either unsurprisingly given his off the field difficulties last year which would make it difficult for anyone.

I hope the club loan him out to see if he can get his mojo back elsewhere with regular football so he can start enjoying playing again, and then see if he can come back from that and do well for us before just off loading the guy so he can do well at a competitors. It also reflects better on the club when they can stand by a player that's gone through a lot.

Question on the impact of shirt sales
at 20:57 23 Jun 2022

I liked the Punch shirts for the most part, All the Greene king sponsored ones basically.

I also liked some of the smart wear that was around at the time polo shirts etc, The current offering in the smart t shirts area is pretty disappointing to be fair.

Agreed but to be fair to all Strikers, even Marcus Stewart went without a goal for 8 games before he popped up with the two worldies against Bolton in the away Play off semi final

Thanks

Seems Dorking have really gone for it signed 2 of the top scorers last season in Conference south but there owner also manages the club and seems to have deep pockets!

Confident The Stones will be ok in it but its basically Division 4 these days with the ex league clubs in it, Oldham, Notts County etc

Not sure the order numbers help much due to orders of all products from the shop generating an order number but the fact people are returning to buying a shirt after 20 years of not doing so surely does

Piggot staying?
at 10:07 22 Jun 2022

I posted this in the pre season thread should have put it here.........

I wonder if Pigott will be able to reignite his Town career, He should have been great for us but he will need to do well and be given a fair crack in the pre-season games.

There's no doubt he can score well at this level he's done it elsewhere Im just not convinced he has settled/mixed well here, he never seems part of any Player group photos, I wonder if he has already been told he is not in McKenna's plans. Hopefully he can turn it round and prove himself to be the player we all hoped he would be.
