I felt a bit sorry for Matheson, he played one or two games and looked quite promising then hardly featured again for no real reason, perhaps Lambert thought he was too young? his loan spell was really strange. |

Weirdly, the best way can be to speak to them is like everyone else and forget the role they're in. The more you see yourself as 'under' them, the more intimidating you feel to approach. try to be direct, honest and natural. |

I remember watching Mass come on against Burnley in the home FA cup tie and he made a real impression the 15 minutes he was on. I'm sure he made a proper challenge in the middle of the pitch that got a big roar from the crowd. He was pretty much brilliant from that game onward. |

Enciso is a step up on the current choices we have available in my opinion. Its okay us saying we already have players in that position, but that means nothing if the majority of those players often lack the extra quality needed. |

Part of me thinks the main reason he got the job was because of the win (5-2 i think?) against Leicester as United caretaker boss shortly before he was hired. even so, It always felt like a naive 'lets get a big name in to get fans back onside' kind of appointment. |

When signing a player, my first thought is "does this player have potential?" because if they do, which Philogene clearly does, then McKenna is usually the perfect person to unlock it. [Post edited 8 Jan 23:01]

Stating the obvious a bit here- but having McKenna at the helm gives us such a chance. Matched Slot for an hour albeit the first game, I'd say tactically got the upper hand on Amorim, likewise Ange at Spurs, now Maresca having already known him from last season.
Sure the players have to deliver what's been asked, but I feel regardless of the opposition McKenna can come up with a successful plan. |

Not surprising- but sad if Wolves'appeal. Looking at the footage I can't see any way in which Cunha was provoked? If its your player you accept the rightful ban and teach them a lesson- get that he's an important player for Wolves though and that's all they'll care about.. [Post edited 17 Dec 2024 21:10]

Good post. I'm not saying he was incredible but having struggled so far this season I felt he did well. He was involved in quite a few decent moves first half and caused United some problems. Not perfect but a more promising performance in my view.

I agree he faded a little going forward second half but we did a little as a team. Part of Burns' job is to free up space for Hutchinson too and he did that well. |

Thought he was impressive today. Positive and direct in his play with a good final ball which can sometimes be questioned. Looked sharp. |
