 | News Comment | Town Confirm Young Signing at 19:52:26
It may not get the juices flowing but McKenna obviously knows his value having coached him at ManU and having captained the side too. I think AY will prove to be a good signing with invaliable experience and excellent leadership qualities, and possibly go onto a post playing role with the club. Welcome to Town Ashley. |
 | News Comment | Manchester United 3-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 13:25:23
I feel this season was a free hit for us of the back of 2 fantastic years and arguably, being promoted too soon. Much of the squad massively overachieved in the Championship and with no real PL experience brought in since then, it’s kind of understandable where we are. Even if it’s partially down to sh1t3 referees, keeper blunders etc, etc, we’re not underachieving against pre-season outside expectation. As disappointing as it is, I just pray we’re not exposed like we were the last time we were relegated (should it happen), following the money spent during the summer. Bouncing back to the PL won’t be straight forward and we will likely lose players like Delap, but there’s no point having him if we don’t have players capable of protecting the back four, dictating play and feeding our forward players. Last night we played side to side or backwards because Morsy doesn’t have the vision to unlock a defence. We’ve not done that too often all season, a lot of goals have come from running in deep. Even with the extra man, not once did we double up on their full backs. It questionable whether we believe we can beat these teams there for the taking. You wouldn’t think so with the way so many of these games have gone. Cajuste has been fantastic, runs his dogs off and I’d love to keep him, but we are desperately short in that area (the squad last night showed that) and we will need similar new players in MF if we are to have any chance of a promotion push next season and staying in the PL thereafter. Immensely proud to be a Tractor Boy and thought our fans were terrific again last night. We’ve won a lot of admiration this season so hopefully, this taste of PL football will make us hungrier, and the future is still bright. COYB! |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-4 Tottenham Hotspur - Match Report at 17:40:40
Thought we started bright, got in their faces but their goal against the run of play and the referee sucked the life out of us. Survival looks unlikely now. Tim Robinson should be assessed and deemed not fit to ref at this level, some shocking decisions. |
 | News Comment | Town Closing in On Enciso Loan at 09:20:40
Enciso will certainly raise the bar but I think we need a pivotal central midfielder to move the ball quicker and pull some strings. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: A Painful Game For Us, City Were Too Strong in All Aspects at 10:35:25
City can put six past any team in the league on their day. What worries me is our mental strength and body language when going behind. Saw it in all three of our last home games when we lost against Newcastle, Brighton and Man City. The contrast between being level then conceding is concerning. I still think it will go down to the wire and we have every chance. Leicester look poor and done, Southampton are still fighting but ultimately feel survival will be between us and Wolves. COYB. |
 | News Comment | West Ham United 4-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:23:49
Awful teams can drag you down sometimes, West Ham did that. Missed Tuanzebe, Johnson hasn’t so far shown he’s up to the PL. KM probably sensed we weren’t clicking and it wasn’t going to be our day, hence the late subs. You’ll never catch me betting against Ipswich. Great opportunity to bounce back against Everton at home. COYB!! |
 | News Comment | Burns Signs New Deal at 16:33:47
Totally agree @RobsonWark. I thought he was awesome last season and we really missed him when out injured, seems to be a huge character too, the videos of him celebrating promotion always put a smile on my face. Glad he’s with us for a few seasons more. |
 | News Comment | Town Complete Phillips Loan Signing at 13:53:18
Easy to assume he was signed so others didn't. Hopefully he'll feel the love at ITFC and get back to his best in no time. Great signing. |
 | News Comment | Phillips Set For Town Medical at 11:32:19
Made his name with a promoted club (can't bring myself to type their name) and will be playing under KmK, boasting a track record of squeezing the very best out of players... has the potential to be an awesome signing! COYB. |
 | News Comment | Skipper Morsy Signs New Deal at 11:43:48
Gives everything and has never left anything on the pitch. Sam’s blood is blue so Fantastic news! I have every faith he’ll put his stamp on the PL - and a few opposition players! PR is his kingdom. |

What a signing!! MA knows his audience. I never want to awake from this……….. |
 | News Comment | McKenna Among Chelsea's Top Targets at 09:50:23
He'll last 12 months at Chelsea and Brighton seem to be on slide since their European anticipation and some key members of their squad now getting on. A move to Man United is the only move that makes any sense to me, being his boyhood club and he knows his way about having worked their previously, probably already knows what he wants to implement. Plus they're in a similar position to us when MA/KMC took us over, it's probably a win win situation for him. At the start of the week, I'd have bet on him staying. Not so sure now. It will be heart breaking if he does go. |
