If you'd said to be before the season started that we'd beat Chelsea and Tottenham and still get relegated, I'd have been sceptical. We need to find some confidence from somewhere, perhaps the Coventry game is it. I still think we can do it. |

The Chelsea result proves we can beat the very best in this division. We should draw a lot of confidence from that. I'm very optimistic, but we still have to actually win games, right?
I think the Fulham game is the perfect barometer of where we're at. Since our first encounter, we've acclimated to the PL, our new players have bedded-in...can we upgrade the draw to a win? Exciting next fixture. |

I would imagine there are plenty of thresholds written into the contract that must be met/failed in order to activate that obligation. I'm less worried about that than I am paying such a sum for a player who seems to be carrying a perma-injury. |

In all honesty, I'm actually more excited for the Fulham game than for our first two. All our signings complete, a much-strengthened starting XI and the first realistically winnable game, and at home. Really looking forward to it. |

A few clubs in recent years - most notably Liverpool and United - have stripped down their badge on the shirt to SATAN and the Liver Bird, I wonder in future whether we'll try something similar with the horse for a season or two. Might look cool. |

I was actually hoping for Holland. The game would be a lot more open and perhaps we'd finally see what England is capable of...or we'd get beaten and put us out of our misery. |
